My World of darkness
\nEnvelops all I am and all I see
\nI sense a lot I hear a lot
\nI dwell in sanctity
\nI feel the earth beneath my feet
\nAnd I can smell the air
\nBreathe in its life giving quality
\nAnd honestly to share<\/p>\n
The spirit of each moment
\nBut sadly I did fall
\nInto a dam now that’s a jam
\nNo purpose for to call
\nMy leg was clearly broken
\nThe pain was sharp and clear
\nI cried out in that moment
\nAnd reacted to each tear<\/p>\n
The darkness had enveloped me
\nI cried to kingdom come
\nHearing my heart beating
\nLike a very noisy drum
\nClearly I was suffering
\nThe vagaries of light
\nThrown into confusion
\nBy the blindness of the night<\/p>\n
I was stranded by emotion
\nAnd calling was my way
\nOf appealing to my sisters
\nTo help me and to say
\nJust close to Dodderi village
\nFor thirty days or more
\nI have languished in this tedium
\nIn this pain forever raw<\/p>\n
The men have come to feed me
\nWith their sugar cane so sweet
\nWith bananas from the forest
\nMaize and ragi so complete
\nSo luscious and forgiving
\nOf my plight and sorry state
\nTo get this love from humans
\nInside me does create<\/p>\n
A Wonder for eternitY
\nBlinded long ago
\nDarkness is my constant friend
\nTo stay calm now to know
\nHelp is coming it takes time
\nBut people are around
\nI cry out because of the agony
\nFor each time my heart does pound<\/p>\n
It just sweeps up my leg into my shoulder
\nAnd I know however brave I think I am
\nThe pain inside does grow
\nIt’s true I am big and massive
\nBut the pain is massive too
\nI know my friends are coming
\nAs more thunderous steps ensue<\/p>\n
Think of me dear human kind
\nFor in this dam I be
\nSuffering the consequence of what came
\nOver me
\nThe heat the swellings nature
\nThe bruising and the thrust
\nOf energy within me
\nI know that I must trust<\/p>\n
The powers to be for helping
\nThat are around me now
\nI know the nursing doctors
\nAre here to help me how
\nI get out of this horror
\nA sanctuary maybe
\nBAnnerghatta National Park
\nWhere I could wander free<\/p>\n
Pray for me my darlings
\nLet’s me feel your power
\nSo I can exchange my woefulness
\nAnd rest under your bower
