Those who live where wild life lives
\nThose iconic souls
\nAre just taken for granted
\nDespite their special roles
\nThe black bear in New Jersey
\nSome 3000 or more I hear
\nAre sacrificed like some disease
\nEvery single year<\/p>\n
And they talk about it as pest control
\nYet they use the amateurs who
\nCan hardly see the target let alone
\nTo shoot them through
\nIt all comes back to money
\nThe Bears don’t stand a chance
\nBaited and shot at close range
\nIt’s no song or dance<\/p>\n
It’s killing off a species
\nMothers and fathers too
\nDisabled bears and babies
\nThis is what they do
\nThese red neck confounded Cowboys types
\nThis is what they do
\nAnd what they did was kill a disabled bear
\nAnd that they drew<\/p>\n
Criticism obviously
\nThe total number they
\nShot against the total number
\nWalking around each day
\nRooting through the dustbins
\nFrightening the dogs
\nRecorded as sighting
\nPerhaps some chasing hogs<\/p>\n
They are really not the problem
\nThat the hunting clan would, feel
\nThere is no need to kill so many bears
\nAnd to conceal
\nThe reasons that they do this
\nIt’s a cruel and nasty way
\nOf getting a weekends shooting in
\nAnd making the wild ones pay<\/p>\n
Somebody came forward and said he shot the bear
\nAnd then went onto the Facebook page
\nTo make them aware
\nThen denied he had done this
\nWho knows what he did
\nThe fact he even said this
\nMeans we really should get rid<\/p>\n
Of all these pesky hunters
\nThey are killers after all
\nAnd may go onto killing folk
\nThe trangression tends to rule
\nThe psyche and the madness
\nThat these so called hunters bring
\nMade happy by the sight of blood
\nAnd for them it becomes their thing<\/p>\n
549 bears have lost their lives
\nOn this hunt weekend
\nThe first three days with bows and arrows
\nThe Cowboys they defend
\nThe right to go and do this
\nFor me a bunch of fools
\nPedals was lured with a special sauce
\nBut that it was done at all
\nNow calls<\/p>\n
A certain kind of wickedness
\nRight Into the frame
\nAnd a complete loss of consciousness
\nThat for me does inflame
\nEvery kind of evil
\nAnd unpardonable disgrace
\nAnd every kind of ugly
\nSlapped right across their face<\/p>\n
The bear must have been startled
\nBy the transgression of man
\nClearly being disabled must have thought
\nThe plan
\nWas not to harm a disabled bear
\nAnd so to find out he
\nWas targeted by the low life
