The real story of war
\nPlayed out every single day
\nIn Syria where sanctions
\nAre biting
\nThe array
\nof course is truly awful
\nAnd propaganda steals
\nThe honesty and empathy
\nThat all of that conceals<\/p>\n
Being out in Syria
\nReporting as you do
\nAnd telling the real story
\nAnd all of it that’s true
\nI watched the delegation of Peace
\nAnd all they said
\nAnd will write for peace
\nAnd so support the cause
\nNow being led<\/p>\n
And is up against the evil
\nThe unfairness and the lies
\nYour courage and commitment
\nThe silence of the wise
\nBeing in the midst of it
\nClearly all you do
\nIs represent the country
\nAnd it’s people good and true<\/p>\n
Regime change is unwanted
\nIt’s a nightmare for them all
\nClearly their screams are being muffled
\nThey are putting up a wall
\nOf falsity and propaganda
\nAnd really so much more
\nAnd all of it for certain
\nIs against International Law <\/p>\n
And it’s carrying on regardless
\nWhich the Americans do not know
\nThat’s why the support is failing
\nBut really it can grow
\nIt has to for the good of man
\nAnd Of SYria who must
\nStay strong and fight this battle
\nAnd cfeating much disgust<\/p>\n
Clearly they are positive
\nFor what we all can do
\nIs get these sanctions lifted
\nAnd realise what’s true
\n23 million people
\nSYrians all say
\nWe do love our country
\nAnd should not be forced to pay<\/p>\n
With our lives for regime change
\nIt isn’t what we need
\nWe will not be devided
\nFor we really can succeed
\nWe have universal health care
\nAnd education too
\nFree at the point of asking
\nThat’s what Assad does do
\nHe really loves his people
\nAnd they love him as well
\nIt’s outside forces causing this
\nSojourn into Hell<\/p>\n
