The sounds
\nThe beloved music
\nThe colours
\nAnd the peace
\nThe interplay of bird and beast
\nAnd the rucking
\nAnd the play
\nThe tabla working overtime
\nThe wild dogs foraging
\nAdaptable and lively
\nTo India they bring<\/p>\n
An air of true excitement
\nAnd a constancy abroad
\nCamouflaged so rapidly
\nThe red earth their reward
\nClearing up the carrion
\nTheir green eyes
\nEverywhere
\nBehold the great bansari
\nAnd the bold black bear
\nWith his parents in the bamboo forest
\nOf the green
\nIndian peafowl
\nShowing off their wondrous
\nVeil and sheen
\nThe birds and of course the monkeys
\nCloaked in splendour they
\nBrighten up the forests
\nIn their multi clad display<\/p>\n
The deer are always curious
\nOn the look out for
\nThe Gaur is at the water edge
\nTail wagging as before
\nA friendly bird is on his back
\nGetting a free ride
\nAnd looking for some breakfast
\nIn his thick old hide<\/p>\n
The tiger so majestic
\nResting on the ground
\nI love that voice now accompanying
\nHis wisdom He is bound
\nLithe and powerful
\nBearer of light great Tiger You
\nAlso need the water
\nWhich all living souls now do<\/p>\n
Handsome such awareness
\nOf monkeys in the trees
\nTasting all that Crimson fruit
\nThe leopard he’s at ease
\nHis stealth and his ability
\nReally to almost be
\nInvisible he melts away
\nObserving constantly<\/p>\n
Behold the Silent warrior
\nLost in the dry grass
\nThe savage beast within him
\nClearly he first class
\nThe tiger such an avid draw
\nThe need is always there
\nTo protect this handsome devil
\nAnd let him always share<\/p>\n
The forest the great habitat
\nWild India we see
\nAnd hear and smell the wildness
\nEvery single tree
\nCapable of sustaining
\nLife in all its form
\nThe backdrop brings
\nGreat Comfort in the shade
\nWhere it stays warm
\nAnd where the heart and mind
\nCan come and soak up much
\nIts where beloved India
\nProves she’s so in touch<\/p>\n
