A sunset beckons out across the valley
\nIslands of peach melba breaking through
\nA blue resolve the peaceful solve
\nThe question of true light
\nAn occurrence built on trust my friends
\nWelcoming the night<\/p>\n
A fiery spark of orange
\nA nifty spicy brew
\nBeing swallowed up in darkness
\nIt is what night can do<\/p>\n
A solid splash of colour
\nDulling by the hour
\nAs the tree line is receding
\nIn the mists of time we cower<\/p>\n
The Gade continues onwards
\nIt’s trickling refrain
\nIt’s sparkle lost to human eyes
\nBut it’s vigour helped by rain<\/p>\n
The islands swamped in slates of grey
\nThe fervour of it all
\nAnother day passes away
\nBehold a sunken wall<\/p>\n
That stretches far beyond us
\nAbsorbing all the while
\nThe trees are losing stature
\nJust minutes off the dial<\/p>\n
They are gone completely
\nas darkness closes in
\nAn ebony curtain sweeps away
\nThe novelty and spin<\/p>\n
Of delineating shadows
\nOf identifying those
\nThat knowledge placed before us
