Excuses for abuses
\nThe obtuse regrettably
\nComes to play now in a way
\nThe hunter vehemently
\nDefies the natural order
\nAnd decries its need to be
\nBeyond the light of being
\nTo a vile dependency<\/p>\n
And killing he calls culling
\nThe inevitable desire
\nTo weed out certain animals
\nWho fall into his fire
\nOf enlightenment through arrogance
\nCreating a path where he
\nCan exclude more of the same from those
\nWhose blame he thinks should be<\/p>\n
The experience of slaughter
\nIs a lesson for us all
\nBy slaughtering a lot of souls
\nHe creates his rule
\nOne Of an expert and thus worthy
\nOf slaughtering yet more
\nWe have to learn to live together
\nThat much I am sure<\/p>\n
The perception we have reasons
\nTo encroach and so to kill
\nWild souls out there avidly
\nWho live a while to thrill
\nEach other with their compass
\nIs to me the wrong idea
\nTo slaughter them because they are there
\nIs to recreate such fear<\/p>\n
That doesn’t need to be there
\nYet that’s exactly why
\nHe calls for this the animals bliss
\nIs to know that they should die
\nFor when they walk a similar path
\nTo the human Being who
\nAlways has the right to be
\nThen the animal must accrue
\nThe fear and fright and pain
\nThey must understand that they
\nOnly can live on this planet
\nIf we agree that they can stay<\/p>\n
The ultimate is arrogance
\nA hopeless situation
\nGiving rise to a comfortless
\nTotal transmigration
\nThe sentient must realise
\nThe error of his ways
\nAnd not allow the belligerence
\nTo form it’s sickly phase<\/p>\n
Animals have a role in all our lives
\nWe have to see
\nto peer into the fog of life
\nAnd always let them be
\nThe vulgarity of slaughter
\nTo the miracle of life
\nthe ultimate creation
\nThe impurity where strife
\nDevises the souls their evidence
\nAnd conjures up a way
\nFor excuses and abuses
