For two years it’s been happening
\nSomeone out there feels
\nThe need to go on a rampage
\nEvery so often steals
\nThe lives of pet cats seemingly
\nWith a machete what he does
\nIs cut off their heads their paws their tails
\nAnd supposedly get his buzz?<\/p>\n
From luring them with chicken
\nAnd cutting them about
\nSomebody must have heard something
\nWhen they have been out
\nBrandishing a machete
\nIn a London Street
\nWould hardly go unnoticed
\nAnd it never is discreet<\/p>\n
But some 200 animals
\nHave met their death this way
\nSome have been badly wounded
\nBut clearly all now pay
\nA heavy price for living
\nThe police and the RSPCA
\nAnd SNARL are investigating
\nBut really who can say<\/p>\n
Keeping the cats in every day
\nAnd being on tenterhooks
\nCauses stress for everyone
\nAnd it really looks
\nHopeless now to find whoever
\nThe perpetrator is
\nBecause there are few clues to go on
\nSo they appear to be the biz<\/p>\n
Chopping up domestic cats
\nMakes me think then who
\nCould easily come to terms with that
\nA slaughterman? they do
\nSlaughter animals all the time
\nOr a eastern cook maybe
\nWho might have come from Vietnam
\nOr China recently<\/p>\n
Whoever else would be doing this
\nThey really must be sick
\nPsychopathic clearly
\nHow does someone tick
\nHolding down a normal job
\nAnd going out at night
\nSlaughtering the children’s pets
\nWhoever, it can’t be right<\/p>\n
How the police have investigated
\nI havent seen the news
\nBut just the other day another cat
\nWas attacked A bruise, and a cut
\nToo from a machete
\nAnd this cat got away
\nBut clearly he is poorly
\nSo It’s still happening today<\/p>\n
Rabbits too and wild foxes
\nApparently have been hurt
\nAnd left for dead or badly injured
\nLying in the dirt
\nSomeone must know what’s happening
\nIn the absence of DNA
\nPerhaps the phantom attacker
\nIs an alien let’s say<\/p>\n
Nothing on police records
\nReally who can say
\nBut if this goes on much longer
\nHe must think he is getting away
\nAnd there may be a spate of killings
\nAnd it all is so unfair
\nSomeone out there is doing this
\nAnd it’s driving people spare<\/p>\n
To lose a family member
\nWhich a cat is in a way
\nIs terribly upsetting
\nTo make an animal pay
\nSuch a price is awful
\nAnd the family grieve a lot
\nIt really is upsetting
\nSo really it cannot<\/p>\n
Be shelved for clearly out there
\nIt will happen again
\nIt might be a copy cat
\nOr someone whose insane
\nBut whoever is now doing this
\nThey really have to be
\nCaught and stopped for each cat that’s chopped
