Being out in the wilderness
\nAll seeing and alone
\nWith a wind chill like an express train
\nThat gets into each bone
\nSnow coming down like crazy
\nBut a hunters heart within
\nWith the passion of invasion
\nAnd a mindset that can win<\/p>\n
What is such natural beauty
\nFar away from cities where
\nThis harmony doth exhilarate
\nAnd wipe away despair
\nOut there on a mountain
\nLooking for a bull
\nA moose who knows the vast terrain
\nJust a few can feel that pull<\/p>\n
That need to take out something
\nThat lives it’s whole life here
\nIn the bright tranquility
\nClearly without fear
\nHere was that bow hunter
\nHis fulfilment is the soul
\nHis weaponry an arrow
\nProving his control<\/p>\n
Proving He can beat the beast
\nIn his own territory
\nHe possesses the insentience
\nAnd the frigidity
\nA cold heart is the need up here
\nTo put aside the why
\nKilling such an animal
\nWatching the brute die<\/p>\n
Following its blood trail
\nThe ego is on fire
\nThe unconsciousness of Nature
\nAnd that spiritless desire
\nNot to share the experience
\nOf life and a camera where
\nTo tingle with the knowledge
\nYou have captured and can share<\/p>\n
A wild soul in its habitat
\nYou there to record its power
\nBut NO you had to end its days
\nDemonstrating really how
\nMorally insensitive and a lethargy of lust
\nAn insouciance and indifference
\nOf the living to its thrust
\nIt’s sensory perception
\nAnd spontaneity
\nOf expressing a shared effusiveness
\nFor Nature constantly<\/p>\n
NO just go out and murder
\nUse stealth and ugliness
\nAmbush bring in pain and woe
\nCreate such vile distress
\nWith no regard whatsoever
\nThe psychopathy just there
\nDeadened to another’s pain
\nTotally unaware<\/p>\n
All weeping and all wailing
\nSeemed refreshing to your ear
\nThe hunter feels the sublimity
\nThe charm to just be here
\nHis masterpiece is dead
\nhis prowess caused this soul
\nTo be lost and covered now in snow
\nThe puffery they dole
\nTheir swank a pair of braggarts
\nWho skin the hide away
\nWho steal whatever else they want
\nFrom their victim of the day<\/p>\n
Such arrogance such bluster
\nThe assurance they are kings
\nA cockiness and insolence
\nThat obviously now brings
\nIn the camera man or the poet
\nA humbleness to be
\nCapturing the spirit
\nWith complete courtesy<\/p>\n
To all hunters athletic or otherwise
\nYour mistake was living under the umbrella of death
