Just a totally beautiful Spring day
\nPripyat sparkled and sang
\nThe trees were resplendent
\nThe people were happy
\nAnd nobody heard the Big Bang

\nExistence was out there and working
\nReality felt in its core

It was some experimentation
\nA peacefulness shattered and where

\nBlasted out into the air<\/p>\n
The reactor became the inferno
\nUranium and graphite did spew
\nInto the sky
\nlike a great gauzy cloud
\nSuch vivid colours on high<\/p>\n
Orange and sky blue and blood red
\nThis rainbow of sorts filled the sky
\nThe Chernobyl Plant was blowing its top
\nAnd nobody really knew why<\/p>\n
Fireman without gear fired water
\nUnaware of the dangers within
\nThe vile radiation a dark evil shroud
\nA veil of incredible sin<\/p>\n
Many young men came and laid down their lives
\nAs columns shot into the sky
\nThis was an emerging monster
\nAnd many around now would die
\n.
\nA helicopter then few over
\nA photographer a recording of time
\nThe silence of death the emergence of breath
\nAs out of the dark they did climb<\/p>\n
A black hole a tomb of great bearing
\nThe sputum of death closing fast
\nAll the photographs that had been taken
\nWere black and strangely aghast<\/p>\n
The graphite was burning uranium
\nThe heat took it into the sky
\nIt showed extreme radiation
\nAnd many alas now would die<\/p>\n

\nAnd Pripyat not far away
\nWent on with its business
\nNobody knew
\nTil, the army came by and did say<\/p>\n
Soldiers with masks on
\nWere joining them
\nOut in the city then they
\nGot wind of something and began to be
\nFearful about it let’s say<\/p>\n
All of this time nobody knew
\nPeople were going about
\nTheir lives just as normal
\nThough reality
\nWas that toxins were without a doubt<\/p>\n
Massively frighteningly dreadful
\nThey should have been indoors for sure
\nTaking their iodine Windows all sealed
\nBut of course no one knew
\nIn the raw<\/p>\n
Of the moments the hours as the toxins
\nCame down<\/p>\n
It was not till they evacuated the city
\nAnd everyone in the town
\n.<\/p>\n
They just got two hours notice
\nAnd buses came by
\nTo take them away from the place
\nThey say there was really no panic at all
\nThe old ones thought it a disgrace<\/p>\n
everyone thought they were lied to
\nThe invisible enemy was
\nOut there extending its evil
\nAnd really all that was because<\/p>\n
No one was given any warning
\nAtomic refugees they
\nAll had received lethal doses
\nThe ghost town was born on that day<\/p>\n
The risks clearly were underestimated
\nAnd lies were put out sadly by
\nThe reactor would be working soon
\nIt’s enough to make everyone cry<\/p>\n
Secrecy and so many lies
\nRadiation into the skies
\nBlowing this way blowing that
\nNo one knew actually where they were at<\/p>\n

\nUkraine Sweden too
\nRadio active dust came through
\nSPy satellites discovered smoke
\nAnd a gaping hole clearly no joke<\/p>\n
1200 tonnes of magma burning
\nWhite hot so most concerning
\nThe whole of Europe apparently
\nAt risk from this catastrophe<\/p>\n
Radiation was everywhere
\nTerribly high so much despair
\nMax Bliss came by to take a look
\nAnyone who saw it shook<\/p>\n
They really had to fight the blaze
\nIt was such a dangerous phase<\/p>\n
To seal up the reactor and put out the fire
\nA Sand and boric acid pyre<\/p>\n
Growing hotter every day
\nMen had to do it come what may
\nDrenched in sweat and radiation
\nThrowing up no celebration<\/p>\n
All the working souls who came
\nWould die that was their claim to fame<\/p>\n
So many people died alas
\nBone marrow burns
\nA whole great mass
\nOf victims came but they all died
\nFlesh eating wounds all from inside<\/p>\n
This was a major catastrophe
\nBut people didn’t know and we
\nWatched the May Day celebrations
\nand most then suffered operations<\/p>\n
Hundreds of people sickened by
\nThe fall out raining from the sky<\/p>\n
The parade of death is what they called
\nAnd exodus of the well schooled
\n130,000 more were moved away
\nAnd lost for sure<\/p>\n
An invisible enemy none could see
\nWorSe than a war for it was keY
\nTheir enemy was clouds of dust
\nRadioactive and unjust<\/p>\n
Radiation went everywhere
\nOver Bavaria They did share
\nThe toxic clouds with everyone
\nCEsium and Iodine in the sun<\/p>\n
People sickened and were lost
\nBut no one prepared to Accept the cost
\nThe nuclear industry once again
\nFucked off and left us to feel the pain<\/p>\n
And now the Tories in the UK
\nAre signing us up to what far and away
\nMore serious more terrifying
\nIn SOmerset it’s death defying<\/p>\n
There have been earth quakes already there
\nAnd when it comes the mean despair
\nThe lies they tell
\nWill be everywhere<\/p>\n
MAy and the rest will be underground
\nIn their perfect bunkers
\nThey will be bound<\/p>\n
And the people will dieAs they have done
\nBefore
\nLosing their homes and their lives for sure<\/p>\n
Who pays the piper the people of course
\nWho go up in smoke as a matter of course
\nDemocracy rules but only for fools
\nAs The nuclear industry breaks all the rules<\/p>\n
And the new world order thanks them
\nFor they are the ruling class
\nEugenics was the energy
