A willingness and inclination
\nA gratuitous effort To please
\nThe keen obligation and spirit
\nUnprompted is offered with ease
\nResolve and a vigour to finish
\nA constancy that all can feel
\nHe’s tenaciously there for the voiceless
\nAnd gives of himself with great zeal<\/p>\n
It’s a dangerous task as a Ranger
\nUp against mercenaries who
\nWork in the shadows where shame and abuse
\nDoes take a lot out of you
\nIn pursuit of the big bucks awareness
\nComes to the fore so to say
\nMany have died or been wounded
\nPatrolling the forests today<\/p>\n
As virulence swings into action
\nMalignity hits the spot too
\nThey come armed with weaponry right up to date
\nIt’s a sinister world where a few<\/p>\n
Suck up to criminal gangs and the like
\nDetestable soldiers of fate
\nThey can just ambush you out in the bush
\nWhere in many ways, you are just bait
\nNo Princely ransom for any of you
\nUp against criminals actually who
\nGet a big cut for the risks are now high
\nMore getting caught and some even die<\/p>\n
The rangers are well trained and they know the score
\nA labour of love something they adore
\nThey devote their heart thrust to protection and they
\nCan be Killed in the field now just any day
\nAnd there are several families who have seen victims fall
\nThe resistance is great but so is the wall
\nOf poachers and canned hunters doing their thing
\nFighting the fight and trying to bring
\nA new wave of killings onto the earth
\nSeizing the Moment and giving off worth<\/p>\n
Knowing the animals that they protect
\nWorking together trying to detect
\nThe robber the bandit the low life those who
\nAre ready to fire and direct it at you
\nThe Rangers stand up for the right to be sure
\nThey take on the evil like never before
\nEnlivened and warm hearted men who proclaim
\nThe need to protect as part of the same<\/p>\n
Self reliant and fearless
\nUndaunted some say
\nHeroic in battle most every day
\nDogged and determined to bring them to heel
\nThe robbers and bandits who like to conceal
\nNotorious people worthy to be
\nBreathing the air that the Rangers breathe we
\nMust see the unsung the nameless the brave
\nUp against rogues with the heart of a knave<\/p>\n
Full marks to the Rangers salute them I say
\nSaving the animals now night and day
\nRisking their lives and fighting like hell
\nThe riff-raff are out there waiting to sell
\nThe spoils on black markets the uncultured crew
\nIn their own state of war now having to do
\nThe bad and the ugly the hatred and pain
\nAnd praise them for their duty again and again<\/p>\n
