Hunters killing bears are clearly
\nNot the farmers friend
\nNot the friends of anyone
\nAnd the environment does send
\nIt’s messages apparent
\nOut across the great
\nSky of true effectiveness
\nThat its miracles create<\/p>\n
Complete equilibrium
\nAnd hunting the predation
\nIs totally immoral
\nTo speak of conservation
\nBy killing created animals
\nIs an anathema of sin
\nAnd Bears play a great part in life
\nThough their worth to some
\nIs thin<\/p>\n
Guns and ammunition
\nHunting clobber too
\nThere is a vast support group
\nSupporting as they do
\nThe corporation safari clubs
\nAll in the trophy game
\nMaking out they are useful
\nYes constantly they claim<\/p>\n
How good they are
\nAnd how the local population too
\nWelcome them with open arms
\nBut we know this isn’t true
\nDestruction of the predator
\nIs an arrogance and we
\nMust try to stop this madness
\nWhich is psychopathy<\/p>\n
Imagine a bear an amazing soul
\nWith so much worth who takes on the role
\nWho is terribly complex Manages lots
\nAn honest miracle hear the shots
\nRing out from hunters far away
\nTelescopic lenses play
\nHigh five offerings every time
\nA bear is shot down in its prime<\/p>\n
Huckleberries and nuts and fish
\nCarrien sometimes
\nMoths too wish
\nA Hunter had really shot them all
\nBut it is breaking every rule
\nFor bears adapt
\nThat’s what they do
\nCutworm moths they take the view
\nGo up to the rocky climes
\nAnd turn over stones
\nSo many times
\nThe moth is
\nLargely lots of fat
\nCalories is where it’s at<\/p>\n
For about five weeks it does its thing
\n300’000 it can bring
\nDown and into its mouth and so
\nIt puts weight on and it can grow
\nIt’s thought the moths are hiding there
\nAway from the heat that they might share
\nThe parents have told their babies they
\nCan eat this bounty anyway<\/p>\n
When salmon are spawning
\nThe rapids splash
\nThat’s when the fish make their dash
\nUp stream and is a time when Bears
\nStanding and fish for he who dares
\nWins up here in the frosty clime
\nFresh rich salmon off the line<\/p>\n
The bears can smell their noses are
\nExtra sensitive from afar
\nThey can smell the moths and go to where
\nThey will be huddled in some despair
\nThe grizzly or the black bears do
\nLove the taste of the cutworms who
\nProduce their moth who likes to be
\nUnder the rocks decidedly<\/p>\n
Bears eat honey and they do
\nHave great long tongues
\nAnd They work them through
\nthe termite kingdoms
\nWhen’e’re they can
\nRaising their calories
\nWhich is the plan
\nThey burn up a lot
\nSo they have to eat well
\nWild is as precious
\nSo they tell<\/p>\n
HUnters are wasters
\nThey make a loss
\nTaking out animals
\nThey don’t give a toss
\nThey think they know everything
\nBut in effect
\nTheir minds are not with them
\nThat I detect<\/p>\n
All the hangers on
\nKeeps them in play
\nThe lead and the tungsten
\nThey use everyday
\nIt’s shot into environments
\nThis toxic brew
\nAnd weakens so many
\nAgain it’s all true<\/p>\n
BEars Lions and Elephants
\nSuffer so much
\nRecently Giraffes have come into touch
\nCheaper to slaughter
\nAnd easier to see
\nA bloody great target
\nTaller than a tree<\/p>\n
As the number of wild souls
\nDie out by the day
\nFarmers have taken to trying to pay
\nLip service to them the starlEts I mean
\nOn TV in programmes
\nI call them obscene<\/p>\n
Trophies and canned hunting
\nEvils that cost
\nWhole environments
\nAre being lost
\nPrey animals growing
\nWith predators killed
\nThus vegetation
\nAnd blood being spilled
\nFor nothing theSe hunters
\nWant shooting i say
