Aquatic and endangered
\nA rather lonely soul
\nWho lives in Titicaca Lake
\nAnd apparently it’s role
\nIs to live and be a Peruvian
\nTHough it’s pressure every hour
\nEverybody is after them
\nAnd the reason now
\nIs down to human beings
\nAs medicine we hear
\nTheY use their skin for leather
\nAnd the poor frogs live in fear<\/p>\n
They make a flour and cream
\nI am told
\nAnd they eat the poor soul too
\nJuice him for a tonic
\nI know that doesn’t sound true
\nIN the US there are people
\nWho see them as a way
\nA sort of aphrodisiac
\nAnd for that some nuts will pay<\/p>\n
A fortune this poor animAl
\nAttracts the low life males
\nWhich is why it’s really struggling
\nImagine the sad tales
\nCirculating all about
\nAnd now we hear the trout
\nThey have introduced into the pond
\nAre now eating the tadpoles
\nYes that’s what it’s about<\/p>\n
Humans are a pain in life
\nNothing stands to be
\nEnjoying freedom no matter where
\nThere is no decency
\nEvery soul is fighting to stay
\nAlive today
\nEven this wonderful water frog
\nWho is being made to pay<\/p>\n
For all these soppy cultures
\nAnd for leather products too
\nHuman beings do not think
\nWhat killing them does do
\nAs they become endangered
\nSo some will pay a lot
\nAnd others will go hunting
\nAnd kill them on the spot<\/p>\n
We are all a bunch of losers
\nMaking them suffer so
\nThey are only found in this lake
\nAs most people now know
\nSo where is their compassion
\ntheir in born empathy
\nWhy do they keep capturing them
\nWith such frequency<\/p>\n
The selfishness and ignorance
\nHas gone beyond belief
\nThere is no continuity
\nAnd thus a lot of grief
\nIt’s incongruous behaviour
\nIt’s out of step with time
\nAnd if they leave this planet
\nLet those wasters feel their slime<\/p>\n
Rising over their sick heads
\nDrowning them out too
\nFor what they have done to a precious soul
\nIs now coming true
\nThey are being drowned out
\nLose their life as well
\nBeing sucked into a spout
