Twenty two years ago
\nARturo Bear
\nLeft the US
\nTo go and stay there
\nMEndoza zoo
\nThat’s in the west
\nOf Argentina
\nThat’s cruel at best<\/p>\n
When his dear partner
\nDied you could see
\nHe lost his only love
\nAnd he wanted to be
\nJoining her Somehow
\nHe loved her so much
\nAnd that she had passed on
\nHe could no longer touch<\/p>\n
This particular zoo
\nHas had problems galore
\nBacteria infections
\nYes by the score
\nAnd over crowding
\nAnd of course the heat
\nAnd Polar bears clearly
\nDon’t get fresh meat<\/p>\n
His blood circulation
\nWas ropey and he
\nWas lonely and sad
\nAs sad as could be
\nHe played with a red ball
\nThat’s all he had
\nThis zoo was mean
\nThis zoo was bad<\/p>\n
When he lost his lady
\nIt was all in his eyes
\nClearly her loss
\nCame as such a surprise
\nHe tried very hard to go on
\nBut we saw
\nIt was torture and seeing him
\nNo one could ignore<\/p>\n
His plight and his sadness
\nTo lose someone you love
\nSomeone who comforts you
\nFrom heaven above
\nWho gives you support
\nAnd just lets you know.
\nThat if anything happens
\nThat they too will go<\/p>\n
The problem with zoo’s
\nIs they are never home
\nWhere were the ice caps
\nIt just was known
\nPolar bears really
\nShould swim in the sea
\nThis horrible zoo
\nWas just no place to be<\/p>\n
He died and he laid down
\nQuite near to his ball
\nImagine it that’s all you have
\nYes that’s all
\nHe came into this world
\nWith his freedom from God
\nAnd left knowing
\nThe zoo did not care a sod<\/p>\n
Winnipeg zoo was simply too far
\nHe was too old anyway they did bar
\nHis journey They told him
\nIt’s best You stay here
\nGo mad here be sad here
\nShe’d your last tear<\/p>\n
And so he passed on
\nAll alone with his ball
\nTo join his dear partner
\nWho he often did call
\nHis concrete bunker
\nHe hated that place
\nDearest Arturo remember it’s true
\nWe Hope that you find peace
\nwhatever you do<\/p>\n
