The solstice brings an energy
\na perception of the whole
\ntempered by an auric veil
\nexplaining our true soul
\nthe responsiveness is instant
\nan effusiveness remains
\na kind of intoxication
\nwith an impact that just gains<\/p>\n
that tantalising feeling
\nboth humbling yet strong
\nfighting back the passion
\nwhich just seems to belong
\nin the ardour of each moment
\nspirited and true
\nAs Roll Rights shares its history
\nwith me and of course with you<\/p>\n
The Cotswold Order stands alone
\nOur circle says so much
\nlove and joy and understanding
\nthat can only touch
\nthe heartstrings, the emotion
\nthe devotion that we feel
\nbut where is Summer I now ask
\nwill the great sky soon reveal
\nin the truest sense some real light
\nto warm our precious earth
\nto help us feel those warming rays
\nthat we know has so much worth<\/p>\n
This is the summer solstice
\nWe need a sky of blue
\nthe sunlight with its sparkle
\nto generate a hue
\nof gold or red of silver
\nand create the light we love
\nwe really need to see it
\nshining from above<\/p>\n
