What is existence
\nA givenness and presence here
\nThe wild have wings to fly
\nTo develop and to clear
\nThe treetops and the roof tops
\nTo take on the wind and rain
\nTo know the ways of shelter
\nAnd intrinsically to gain<\/p>\n
A quality of life
\nIts how we are made
\nIts how we are
\nIts what we see as freedom
\nAnd we can fly so far
\nAway from wintry elements
\nTo sunnier climes so we
\nCan live our lives and learn a lot
\nIn perfect harmony<\/p>\n
With wings to fly
\nThe forest trees
\nCan be a place where we
\nCan find a larder rich in proteins
\nAnd, we all can see
\nSo much potential really
\nBecause we all can fly
\nSpread our wings
\nAnd sail into the heavens
\nBy and by<\/p>\n
But with man now sharing oxygen
\nHe wants to cage us, be
\nWants to clip our tiny wings
\nSo we cannot be free
\nWants to have us hanging in his living room
\nSo he
\nCan share his empty rubbish
\nWith the likes of me<\/p>\n
And expect me to copy him
\nTo sing a long and feel
\nHappy to be in a cage
\nWhere it feels most unreal
\nThe frustration of this prison
\nAnd hanging here where he
\nForgets to give me water sometimes
\nAnd Leaves me parched
\nI be<\/p>\n
Sad, I squawk a lot to try and remind him
\nI am dry
\nNot only have I wings but without water
\ni soon die
\nIf only i could fly away
\nAnd not be trapped in here
\nI gaze out at the light most days
\nAnd of course lose a tear
\nOr two its terribly sad
\nTo know you have wings but cannot fly
\nIf only he would open the door
\nFor slowly now I die<\/p>\n
A little really every day
\nForced to stay in here
\nIn his measly little flat
\nWhich only brings me fear
\nThe food is dry and tasteless
\nAll I need to say
\nIs I have wings beautiful wings
\nIf I could only fly away<\/p>\n
And its not that I don’t love you
\nIts that you do not love me
\nYou see I have wings to fly with
\nBut you historically
\nLock us up in cages
\nAnd expect us to be
\nLoving you forever
\nWell you will not get love from me<\/p>\n
