We speak of the voiceless
\nThose of us who can see and hear
\nWe know
\nThe voiceless have a way
\nWith them
\nOf communication so
\nAnd there she was
\nBeside the bikes
\nBeside the busy street
\nCrying sighing dying
\nWondering hopeful feet
\nMany feet walked by her
\nThe car hit her and she
\nDragged herself to where she lay
\nIn the deepest agony<\/p>\n
It was hot and it was noisy
\nAnd she was on the street
\nFeeling her own heart beating
\nBeating in the heat
\nAnd a lady Mrs Seema
\nRang the guardians who came
\nThe angel in blue who do what they do
\nYou could feel that
\nYou knew that was true<\/p>\n
No wings just love a sereneness
\nQuietly and gently he sat
\nTending to her listening to her
\nAnd she realised yes that
\nHe was one of those angels
\nGently he tended to her
\nLifting her sharing with her her pain
\nAs her life’s blood had begun to drain<\/p>\n
He took her at once to a private vet
\nAn amputation yes she did get
\nAnd when he took her to the place
\nWhere the other canine friends did grace
\nThe scene felt the love it was there
\nIn the cage on the blanket where
\nOthers all came to offer their care
\nConcerned were they all and they all did share<\/p>\n
JYOTi lays there but no more is she
\nAlone she’s with friends infinity
\nOpened its doors to the pampering and she
\nWill recover and want to truthfully<\/p>\n
These guardians of the unfortunate
\nAre the saviours of tomorrow
\nThey break our hearts
