There’s an aura about
\nFolly’s Farm
\nyou can feel it in the air
\na grassy field in Potten End
\nwhere doting Donkeys share
\nsome peace and quiet
\nsome tenderness, some love
\nand lots of care.<\/p>\n
most have suffered at the
\nhands of abusers
\nmistreated clearly
\nsaddened by it all
\nbut now they’re settled in
\nthey clearly love the place
\nthe gift of life
\ndoes quickly underpin<\/p>\n
all the good work
\nspread around at Folly’s
\nand Sue and Paul’s hard work
\nclearly shines through
\nThese two clearly are
\na pair of angels
\nfeeling that they do
\nwhat they must do.<\/p>\n
altogether 22 dear Donkeys
\nnow 2 Ponies
\nand a Mule of course
\nthis the complete family
\nwhat a lovely bunch they are
\nand what is felt is quite
\na divine force<\/p>\n
its clearly not an easy
\noperation but Sue and Paul
\napparently they can
\nrustle up enough support
\nto keep the whole show on the road
\nand its been like this since
\neverything began<\/p>\n
Dedication to the task
\nof caring
\nfor Donkeys who have
\nhad their share of woe
\npeople are unfair
\nthe grief’s apparent
\nbut when they get to Folly’s then
\nthey know<\/p>\n
that here’s a place where
\nthey can just rest easy
\ntake their time and
\nnonchalantly devour
\nnice fresh grass
\nand wild plants all available
\nand rebuild themselves
\nwith some good old Donkey Power<\/p>\n
Today I saw them
\nrunning through the meadow
\nchewing on the wild plants
\nthat abound
\nfeeling all that sunshine
\non their tired old backs
\nand padding out their
\nmusic on the ground<\/p>\n
clearly they all realize
\nthe rotor
\nand do respond
\nto Paul and Sue for sure
\nintelligent and happy
\nin their sanctuary
\na home from home
\nand who could want for more<\/p>\n
