Where was the wisdom
\nWhere did it go
\nWhat is an absurdity
\nWhy give a show
\nIt was irrelevant
\nBut it caught on
\nImprisoning animals
\nMaking them don
\nThe cloak of humanity
\nWhen after all
\nThose particular people
\nShould have gone back to school
\nArrogance surfaced
\nThe ignorant came
\nAnd that combination
\nWas who is to blame<\/p>\n
Its the Emperors clothes
\nAnd the gullible tribe
\nThat detract from the obvious
\nAnd try to imbibe
\nThe spirit of genius
\nOnto us all
\nTheir inexactness
\nTheir tale was too tall
\nTheir desire for knowledge
\nTheir mindlessness state
\nSaw them capture an Orca
\nOn that given date
\nLife as they knew it
\nWas taken away
\nWith All their emotions
\nThey were made to pay<\/p>\n
the vivification and vitality
\nThat great fluid realm
\nDeep under the sea
\nThe surface of mirrors
\nOr wave pattern length
\nCombined with the winds
\nGiving tremendous strength
\nTo The ocean below what our human eyes see
\nThe wild fields of kelp
\nWhere so much life be
\nThe vast armies of light forms
\nThat inhabit this world
\nAnd the millions of creatures
\nThat found themselves hurled<\/p>\n
A great soup of life
\nEnigmatically drawn
\nFrom new waves of existence
\nWhere new life does spawn
\nIn great clouds of sperm
\nSent forth on the tide
\nWhere the Herring come forth
\nA huge pattern of pride
\nThe undersea world is like no other place
\nIts unprecedented
\nFor the size of space
\nAnd the nourishment everywhere
\nNothing can compare
\nWith the vastness and beauty
\nOur eyes can see there<\/p>\n
So imagine they capture
\nAn Orca and bring
\nIt back to the mainland
\nIts a kind of sting
\nOperation they did it
\nAnd all they could do
\nWas erect a tank
\nAnd paint it blue
\nThe perceived colour
\nOf oceans but here
\nIr was dead to the world
\nThat was soon clear
\nAn alien space
\nLacking the thrust
\nA conflict of sounds
\nThey’d be going for bust
\nSo much discord
\nWhich would choke at their core
\nAnd an end to true hunting
\nWhich was what they were for<\/p>\n
Predation was essential
\nTo be fed by a man
\nWith what fish he had
\nWas not a good plan
\nBuckets of dead fish
\nIced left to thaw
\nAnd then thrown at them
\nTasteless and raw
\nWith added supplements
\nWith added drugs
\nArrogance surfacing
\nWith mans own bugs<\/p>\n
Seasons of change
\nWild oceans alive
\nAbundant and growing
\nThe joy to survive
\nIn a huge land of wonder
\nA constant flow
\nOf life and of death
\nAnd all there on show
\nOr a concrete tank
\nWith sterility
\nUp against chlorination
\nAnd no depth to be
\nPlunging down into
\nAnd rising again
\nTo taste the sweet air
\nThrough its salty refrain<\/p>\n
There is no justification
\nFor slavery here
\nJust a pitiful watching
\nWhich generates fear
\nIn their hearts and minds
\nBeing ogled all day
\nAnd expected to do tricks
\nFor so little pay
\nNothing at all just a vile lifeless stew
\nNo interaction nothing to do
\nA higher acidity than they were aware
\nAnd a big corporation that just didn’t care<\/p>\n
It was not in their remit
\nThey did what they said
\nRemember their ignorance
\nAnd where it had led
\nThem to capture Dolphins and
\nOrca’s so they
\nWere one step ahead of the others
\nA way
\nOf beating competitors
\nAnd earning more cash
\nGetting the kudos
\nAnd feeling all flash<\/p>\n
Its all about figures
\nAnd Their balance sheet
\nMaking the money
\nOne of the elite
\nPlaces to learn and to see
\nThe great beasts from below
\nThe waves really knaves
\nThat did grow
\nInto massive pleasure parks
\nThe great day out
\nWith the added attraction
\nOf Orca’s to flout<\/p>\n
To commercialise living
\nTo just sanitise
\nReality saw little between the eyes
\nBoardrooms with stuffy old men in grey suits
\nFar far removed from the sea creatures roots
\nThey really knew nothing
\nAnd so understanding
\nThe Orca’s plight it would be like landing
\nIn some alien realm not equipped to be there.
\nAnd feeling so out of it though so aware
\nOf the realisation that your captors had thought
\nThey created the paradise that you had sought<\/p>\n
That was their arrogance and their meanness too
\nTheir interpretation
\nSo nothing new
\nHumans were tight arses all of the time
\nLacking information to help them to climb
\nOut of their bog hole and just let us be
\nIn a sea pen or back home in the sea
\nIts the absence of choice that gets to us we
\nAre creatures of habit and instinctively
\nWe are creatures born out of the complexity
\nOf options and choices and how things should be<\/p>\n
And so languishing here in these dank places we
\nWant to abstain from the showtime and be
\nWithin ourselves contemplating our all
\nNot festooned with dead fish which for us does appal
\nMost days much too cold soft tasteless, they
\nWere bought in and frozen and really to stay
\nIn a tank being thrown fish is not what we do
\nWe are predator animals yes through and through
\nWe decide what we will eat every day
\nNot what human arrogance tosses our way<\/p>\n
Intention pursuit what it is we are
\nWe live in our pods and we swim far
\nNot round in circles but for miles and miles
\nChasing your boats and just eating piles
\nOf fresh squid and fishes and all sorts of things
\nThe hunt and the chase it kind of brings
\nThe best out in all of us
\nWaiting to be
\nfed out of some bucket
\nSaddens us, we<\/p>\n
Get more emotional as the days fly
\nWw suffer digestive disorders its why
\nWe don’t get what we want and hardly can chew
\nOut teeth get all broken
\nYes it is true
\nBiting the bars in Frustration you see
\nDue to overall insufficiency
\nWe feel so inadequate stuck in this tank
\nIts not anywhere big enough and it smells rank
\nThe sea was our Paradise our haven home
