The predicament they are facing

\nThe head the paws as trophies
\nRemember Cecil the same
\nAnd onto Chinese Medicine
\nThe Lions body parts
\nAnd the criminal side of trafficking
\nOf those minus their hearts<\/p>\n
Shipping bones to Thailand
\nAnd calling them Tiger cake
\nBlack market sales are rising
\nEven though they are fake
\nIn the lower echelons
\nAt the gutter level they
\nDupe and falsify shipments
\nThere is no honour
\nThere today<\/p>\n
All we know is Lions are
\nTruthfully suffering
\nAnd then there is home grown
\nTerror and we must
\nRealise there is nothing

\nAnd we have to realise
\nThere is now a vast margin
\nBetween the cost of captive Lions
\nTo the eventual final sale

\nCriminality
\nIs rife now out in Africa
\nTotal improbity
\nThey are heartless
\nThey are soulless
\nNo conscience at all
\nDetached from all

And then of course the bush meat trade
\nAnd again canned hunting firms
\nWho make excuses on hunting grounds
\nThat locals come to terms
\nWith hunting in enclosures
\nFor the meat thats donated free
\nMaintaining a taste for lion meat
\nWhich again should never be<\/p>\n
Its of catastrophic proportions
\nThe increasing market share
\nAttributed to captive Lions
\nNow sold everywhere
\nAnd everyone makes a killing
\nFrom the so called farms who rear
\nThrough petting and captivity
\nTo what is black market fear<\/p>\n
At this rate Lions in Africa
\nHave a terrible chance to shine
\nThe Kings are being slaughtered
\nAnd so many now dine
\nOn almost every aspect of
\nCriminality
\nFrom the corrupt officials
\nAnd what is depravity<\/p>\n
Those white Lions
\nAn example
\nOf the wretched state of affairs
\nPoachers clearly earning
\nWith judgement that impairs
\nAny soul who is willing
\nTo earn some extra cash
\nTo go and buy and slaughter them
\nAnd treat them like so much trash<\/p>\n
It breaks the hearts of many
\nWho work to save them all
\nThe wild ones and the captive ones
\nTheir great roar is our call
\nTo arms to try to honour them
\nFor their place in history
\nIs fast becoming the way it is
\nThe new reality<\/p>\n
Anybody’s victim
\nLeft in the bush alone
\nHeads cut off
\nPaws cut off
\nThe seeds of evil sown
\nThe great kings of the jungle
\nLost souls yes they are
\nThe guilty earning vast amounts
\nAnd an ever growing scar<\/p>\n
That punishes all of Africa
\nFor the corruption that is rife
\nSo toothless are the law makers
\nAdding to their strife
\nOfficialdom stands guilty too
\nAs many look the other way
\nAnd lions and Rhinos and Elephants
\nAre slaughtered nearly every day<\/p>\n
The invincible is possible
\nSo witch doctors say
\nEating animal parts and human parts
\nReally will delay
\nThe onset of debilitating illness
\nAnd so of course
\nCaptive Lions have merit
\nAnd are a driving force<\/p>\n
The farm attacks on whites
\nIs said to be because of this
\nThe evilness of witchcraft
\nA euphoric state of bliss
\nCreates the ugly savagery

\nIs said to dabble in this regard
