The breaking in of Elephants
\nfor Circus
\nlittle babes
\nits dreadful to be sure
\nhow grown up human beings
\ncan be paid to violate
\nthe sanctity of Infants
\nand what’s more.<\/p>\n
The bull hook
\nsuch a vile and sickly instrument
\nno animals should be subjected to
\nits torturous and infamous conclusion
\nsuch intense pain it wields
\nand clearly you
\nthe circus waller who believes
\nthat due control is in your hands
\nthen you had better see
\nand alter any plans
\nyou had to remonstrate with us
\nusing it to get
\nyour way with us, remember
\nchum your building such a debt
\nthat’s unwarranted and unwanted,
\nand one day we’ll collect
\nif we wanted to and smash
\nyour heads
\non concrete that’s been set<\/p>\n
the time has come when all wild creatures
\nare not prepared to sit
\nback and take whatever you throw
\nat us, a bit
\nof pain is coming back to you
\nto remind you what its like
\nand we shall not do your circus tricks
\nI suppose we’ll go on strike
\nUntil the circus closes
\nfor very few now are
\nanything but worthless
\nthere just not up to par<\/p>\n
to the concrete instantly
\nbut we choose to take the pain
\nand bear the malice
\nwe remember ever unkindness
\nwe feel
\nand once day when the sun
\njust might be shining
\nwe will retaliate
\nand listen to his squeal.<\/p>\n
Humans had best realize
\nthat elephants in the wild
\nare sick and tired of hearing
\nhow the captured tribe are riled
\nby the terrible behaviour
\ninflicted on the cows
\nand a message has gone out
\nthat they are now to use
\ntheir powers
\nif Circus bods use bull hooks
\nthen we must use our weight
\nand pin them to the wall
\nor throw them through a gate<\/p>\n
we are so very sensitive
\nand every wound we get
\nwe feel the pain
\nit drives us insane
\nand so we will not let
\nCircus people harm us
\nNo not any more
\nif they hit us with iron bars
\nthey will understand us more
\nwhen we crush them back
\nwhen we pick them up and throw
\nin the air
\nwe’re not prepared to sit back
\nand be beaten, its not fair<\/p>\n
Circus is for men whose tears
\nare covered up by masks
\nwho dress up in clown costume
\nand in the spot light basks
\nthose clowns are often sad souls
\nand that is why they try
\nto clothe themselves in happiness
\nand watch the world pass by
\nThe dwarfs and freaks of Nature
\nthey are oft our friends
\nbut the trainers they are
\nawful their ugly and it sends
\nterrible vibrations to us
\nand to those who try
\nand stop the abject cruelty
