In the last 100 years
\nWe leapt into the sky
\nWe learned from the birds
\nJust how to fly
\nDespite thinking our brains
\nWere bigger than most
\nA small wren can fathom it out
\nBut won’t boast
\nAerodynamically the precious bee
\nHas a body thats big
\nBut wings, just agree
\nThat are very tiny
\nIn fact minuscule
\nBut we steal its honey
\nAnd we steal its fuel<\/p>\n
We say that we share it
\nBut we take it away
\nAnd replace it with
\nRefined white sugar
\nThey pay
\nA very big price for their miracle
\nAnd
\nSo many who buy it just won’t understand<\/p>\n
So many cases of this going on
\nIts a larcenous journey
\nAnd all this we don
\nWe create burdens for others who be
\nSo much more sensitive than us
\nLike the tree<\/p>\n
It has a connection with the earth and the soil
\nIts longevity builds
\nIts knowledge for toil
\nRooting down into the minerals there
\nAnd watching and waiting
\nAnd being aware<\/p>\n
The plants of the field
\nThey are part of it all
\nThey have psychic powers
\nIf we do call
\nThey will come with their magic
\nIf we can relate
\nBut what do we do
\nPull them up at a rate<\/p>\n
Bending our backs to the task
\nOf the day
\nIs destroying knowledge
\nThats how we pay
\nThe plant spirits
\nIts only google who knows
\nIts our state of mind
\nWe are brainwashed and it shows
\ngo stay with the indigenous
\nI always do
\nNot 5 star hotels
\nExploiting those who
\nWork for a pittance
\nFor something to eat
\nBut who have so much wisdom
\nThe true elite<\/p>\n
We could talk to the animals
\nJust sit and say
\nSimple conversations
\nAnd listen and pay
\nAttention to their answers
\nFor many know more
\nThan you ever dreamt
\nOf of that i am sure<\/p>\n
But what do we do
\nWe think we know best
\nInstead of trying
\nWe hunt them and test
\nWe rape them and kill them
\nAnd force them away
\nSo we can keep cattle
\nAnd make them all pay<\/p>\n
We transgress but our ignorance
\nQuietens our soul
\nWe are indifferent to Nature
\nWe take on the role
\nWe become so detached
\nIn our concrete and glass
\nLike the orca’s in tanks
\nWe are not in their class<\/p>\n
We believe we are conscious
\nAnd we point at some who
\nAre known as dumbed down
\nBut not us we are true
\nTo ourselves we love cows
\nBut the dairy ice cream
\nOn a hot summers day
\nIt just is a dream<\/p>\n
All this improbity
\nYear after year
\nThe natural world
\nAnd the beings all fear
\nWe speak with forked tongues
\nAnd yes we’re not true
\nWe are losing our power
\nAnd its not coming through<\/p>\n
The universe out there
\nDiscriminates and we
\nAre thankless to all of the miracles
\nThat be
\nThere for the taking
\nUnmindful in fact
\nNo appreciation
\nAnd so they redact<\/p>\n
It just isn’t there
\nIt cannot be seen
\nWe do not give the time
\nHow ever long it has been
\nAnd thus we all lose it
\nThe knowledge of old
\nAnd must resort to yahoo
\nBut really who told<\/p>\n
Yahoo and google
\nMore digitals who
\nAre spiritually starving
\nAs clueless too
\nThe power of emotion
\nThe strength of the sky
\nThe depth of the oceans
\nAnd they do not ask why<\/p>\n
Just take it for granted
\nNo connection there
\nNo love of the planet
\nJust wifi aware
\nThat is throwing a spanner
\nIn our works each day
