Their love of the wild
\nSees babies defiled
\nTorn from their mothers
\nWhose reconciled
\nTo that basic felony
\nThat treasured care
\nThat bond and that fondness
\nAnd the real love out there<\/p>\n
Petting the babies
\nA new trading ploy
\nBrings much agitation
\nWithout any joy
\nFor the precious lion cubs
\nWho know they adore
\nTheir mother but these
\nVolunteers
\nare unsure<\/p>\n
In real time this travesty
\nExists and we know
\nIts the warped world of canned hunting
\nThat now does grow
\nLike a festering cancer
\nAffecting us all
\nAnd to ask these young students
\nTo answer the call
\nCome at their own expense
\nAnd work for free
\nAnd be with the cubs
\nBe their destiny<\/p>\n
Wildness is lost
\nInstinctively they
\nLose out on true love
\nDay after day
\nPawed about picked up
\nAnd gradually they
\nBeing so young
\nThey just lose their way<\/p>\n
Then its the cages
\nWhere arrogance rules
\nNaivety follows
\nFools teaching fools
\nThe rules being broken
\nThe naturalness lost
\nAll they see are humans
\nLife for them has tossed<\/p>\n
What is a new paradigm
\nInto their world
\nLost little souls
\nRapidly hurled
\nInto corporate tension
\nI mention
\nIt here
\nBy trusting the humans
\nWith their in built fear<\/p>\n
Leaves them in two minds
\nThey just are not sure
\nThe smell of the wild
\nIs outside their door
\nThe roar of the mother
\nThe soul of the pride
\nEvolved out of squalor
\nThe cubs want to hide <\/p>\n
Man is a monster
\nAn evil so sick
\nWith The wonderment wild
\nHe proves what a dick
\nHe is and humanity looks on
\nFor they
\nKnow the indifference
\nhe shows everyday<\/p>\n
South Africa wakes up
\nAs activists roar
\nThey shout to the heavens
\nAnd then shout some more
\nMaking little lions
\nAfraid of the wild
\nSo they can be harvested
\nAnd then defiled<\/p>\n
Is a sinful step
\nSuch a disgusting thing
\nIts loveless and choiceless
\nAnd can never bring
\nTruth to the argument
\nIts repugnant to say
\nIt can

With the proverbial birds
\nA psychosis alas
\nBased on corporate wealth
\nOf the goal to amass
\nA fortune unthinkingly
