Confidence hangs on the balance of power
\nIts like an invisible gossamer shower
\nThat protects a flower from the wind and the rain
\nFrail though it is
\nIt still can avail
\nItself of the freedom and strength
\nFrom within
\nAnd this zoo was a painting
\nThe male wearing thin
\nHis patience on low ebb
\nHis olfactory sense
\nPicking up fear
\nMaking him tense<\/p>\n
Slouched at the side
\nEye contact not good
\nAlways look away
\nOr be misunderstood
\nSlouched sends one message
\nDirect eye two
\nMixed messages clearly
\nWill never help you<\/p>\n
The male Lion perturbed
\nEquilibrium wrong
\nA cessation of posturing
\nThe Lion though felt strong
\nHe went for the man
\nWho tried to get away
\nExuding more fear and panic that day<\/p>\n
The Lioness was quick she ran to his side
\nNuzzled up to him and quickly denied him
\nThe power to get hold of the man who just ran
\nThis was how all of this drama began
\nIf not for the Lioness it could have got worse
\nShe clearly was quick and did not rehearse
\nHer love was greater than his wanton fear
\nIf she hadn’t been there to me it was clear
\nThe bloke would have been mauled
\nHis confidence lost
\nAnd the lion picked up on it
\nAnd it could have cost
\nBoth lives one eaten
\nThe other one shot
