{"id":27490,"date":"2016-04-26T13:10:42","date_gmt":"2016-04-26T13:10:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/?p=27490"},"modified":"2016-04-26T13:26:44","modified_gmt":"2016-04-26T13:26:44","slug":"the-terrible-work-of-exposing-cruelty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/2016\/04\/the-terrible-work-of-exposing-cruelty\/","title":{"rendered":"The terrible work of exposing cruelty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>pretty red pot plants all in a row<br \/>\nA village style butcher<br \/>\nIf you didn&#8217;t know<br \/>\nIts all &#8220;oldy worldy&#8221;<br \/>\nRustic and slate<br \/>\nBut things kind of change<br \/>\nWhen you open their gate<\/p>\n<p>It is a slaughterhouse<br \/>\nWhere animals die<br \/>\nA death camp<br \/>\nA chamber where torture is high<br \/>\nWhere many an emotion<br \/>\nWill no likely be<br \/>\nWhere hearts and where souls<br \/>\nAre conjoined frantically<\/p>\n<p>The scenes on this day<br \/>\nWere terribly sad<br \/>\nSheep mums with babies<br \/>\nStill nursing they had<br \/>\nAll still been together<br \/>\nIn the lairage and they<br \/>\nWere following nature right up<br \/>\nTill today<\/p>\n<p>Clearly the animals knew one another<br \/>\nAll being killed in this small slaughter place<br \/>\nA pig just three cows a number of sheep<br \/>\nEvery soul sentient the men though<br \/>\nWill reap<br \/>\nSome very bad karma, they have to for I<br \/>\nWitnessed real dreadful treatment<br \/>\nBefore they did die<\/p>\n<p>Insensibility stupor in fact<br \/>\nTotally unconscious even to react<br \/>\nAs they did unaffected by all of the pain<br \/>\nThe cynical handling the utter disdain<br \/>\nYou could could cut  with a knife the fright in the air<br \/>\nThat pig and the three men they were aware<br \/>\nOf the terror that pig felt and just raised the stakes<br \/>\nIt became so distressing my heart it just breaks<br \/>\nTo hear that soul screaming questioning why<br \/>\nMen should be so cruel there was no reason why<br \/>\nTrapping the pig kicking its face bashing the gate<br \/>\nWhich was the case<br \/>\nSqueezing that pig already in shock<br \/>\nAll of their weight they tried to knock<br \/>\nThat pig it was ugly it was awful to see<br \/>\nTill at last they stunned it and so badly<\/p>\n<p>The cows hung up by one leg lowing so loud<br \/>\nSuch haunting stuff they had been over powered<br \/>\nThey clearly knew each other and both were killed<br \/>\nTogether and whether together they spilled<br \/>\nTheir life force out hanging by one leg poor dears<br \/>\nSubjected to torture and emotional fears<br \/>\nThe sheep were a family one of them Oh god<br \/>\nSome kind of prolapse what type of sod<br \/>\nWould slaughter an animal clearly in pain<br \/>\nIn a diseased state what would be the gain<\/p>\n<p>These were not slaughtermen<br \/>\nMonsters more like<br \/>\nMothers with babies<br \/>\nManhandled what tike<br \/>\nWould ever be so beastly and slam them on their backs<br \/>\nBreaking their legs<br \/>\nWith such awful attacks<\/p>\n<p>This is not what slaughtering should be about<br \/>\nTaking frustration yes taking it out<br \/>\nWhats troubling you transferring it on<br \/>\nTo these innocent souls who were put upon<br \/>\nThis earth to share life to share breath<br \/>\nTo feel fear<br \/>\nAnd to have men like this<br \/>\nWorking, on them here<\/p>\n<p>On death row in prisons we would not be<br \/>\nTreated so badly so disrespectfully<br \/>\nSo why give these innocent soul so much grief<br \/>\nS.
