\nThe bedrock in fact

\nStanding alone on a street

\nIn an indian town

Flesh and blood
\nStanding
\nBloodied and sore
\nMaggots the size of toes
\nEverywhere raw
\nChafed from neglect
\nBruised and in pain
\nEmaciated and filled
\nWith disdain<\/p>\n
What was his name
\nDid he ever have one
\nOut on the streets
\nIn the rain in the sun
\nHis eyes all caked up
\nWith sepsis and grief
\nHis bottom all sore
\nIt must be a relief<\/p>\n
To be found to be saved
\nTo be helped all that care
\nLaid on a sack
\nBy those so aware
\nCutting the hair away
\nWashing the sores
\nApply the powder
\nHe had been through the wars<\/p>\n
So many injuries
\nFleas every where
\nMaggots and mange
\nSo much despair
\nAs thin as a rake
\nHis bones sticking out
\nHis feet also pained
\nWithout any doubt<\/p>\n
This soul is ailing
\nThis poor boy sad
\nSaved by the angel
\nWho’d have thought that
\nHe had
\nEven a chance to be saved in that state
\nBut the angels they saved him
\nWhich was bloody great<\/p>\n
I take off my hat to them
\nWhat they have done
\nIs given a chance to him
\nUnder the sun
\nIn all that muster
\nThe dust and the dirt
\nThe maggots the lice
