\nTOMIOKA in the Futaba district
\nAnd Fukushima’s scar
\nNow a nuclear wasteland
\nAnd ghost town we can say
\n15,000 people have upped
\nAnd moved away<\/p>\n
A historical perspective
\nThe 300 Cherry trees
\nIn Yonomori park
\nNow of course a no go zone
\nWhere even light is dark
\nSome thought it their Nirvana
\nBut isolation does
\nBring to bear a pointlessness
\nNow there is no buzz<\/p>\n
Everywhere is chaos
\nAsymmetry as well
\nA diversity if interests
\nIt has become a hell
\nNaoto Matsumura lives there all alone
\nStayed back to feed the animals
\nAnd eat the plants he has sown<\/p>\n

\nAnd enjoys his regular meals

\nBut anyway he feels<\/p>\n
Better that he stays there
\nThe town where he was born
\nProbably dying slowly
\nBut actually not torn
\nAt all to leave
\nThe animals are what life’s about
\nAnd if he left they all would die
\nHe is now in no doubt<\/p>\n
He is building up a bond with them
\nHe’s their angel after all
\nThey sort of hang together
\nSome come if he does call
\nHe is apparently unaffected
\nBy the radio active air
\nAnd the ramifications
\nOf actually staying there<\/p>\n
He feels a solidarity
\nAnd his self sufficiency
\nHe is the master of his replenishment
\nWhich he manages utterly
\nTo the bitter end he is fighting
\nHook line and sinker he
\nIs hoping of a future
\nAnd the world will have to see.<\/p>\n
Since the earthquake levelled
\nThe FUKUSHIMA place
\nAnd put the world to rights
\nAt an alarming pace
\nMore people have developed thyroid cancers
\nHere and there
\nAnd this must cause a lot around
\nGreat moments of of despair<\/p>\n
There had been a chain reaction
\nA great monotony
\nFirst the walls came tumbling down
\nThe tsunami then did see
\nTo three great vicious meltdowns
\nAnd water fading fast
\nOut into the pacific
\nOn its outward blast<\/p>\n
An assemblage of idiots
\nTEPCo came to be
\nWhat with robots dropping dead
\nThe lies told actually
\nFar outweighs the truths
\nIf it be known I think thats so
\nAnd many die offs have been happening
\nAnd the numbers they will grow<\/p>\n
Clearly a personality
\nA loner in a way
\nA non conformist which us good
\nCan adjust his life and pay
\nMore attention to it
\nAnd the animals he feeds
\nClearly unconventional
\nWhich is why he succeeds<\/p>\n
Happy with his oneness
\nHis solidarity
\nTime it waits for no one
\nHow long his tenancy
\nIs now
\nOnly god knows
\nOr perhaps not any more
\nTEPCO took it all apart
\nAnd changed the natural law<\/p>\n
The fragility of life itself
\nHis mortality
\nIn the arms of old father time
\nAnd provisionality
\nA precarious existence
\nLime a candles flickering flame
\nBut NAOTO appears happy enough

His priority is the animals
\nHis birthright was the town
\nLiving in the aftermath
