As a Maine Coon I do herald
\nFrom Norwegian forests
\nThe cold my real mama
\nLong water shedding hair and undercoat
\nFor me to spa<\/p>\n
With Jack Frost
\nAnd his hail stones
\nHis icicles his sleet
\nI am strong
\nWith a sturdy body
\nAnd delicate dancing feet<\/p>\n
I came from the land of the far off FAE
\nWhere dragon flies do sweep
\nAround the sunlit castle walls
\nWhere with my friends I leap
\nOver the steel portcullis
\nAnd up into the sky
\nThe sheer rock faces I can skirt
\nAnd even perchance Fly<\/p>\n
As I now grow older
\nThe Spruce trees I admire
\nI love the resinous smell they have
\nThey just stoke up my fire
\nI love my human mother
\nShe has always been my dear
\nIts because she understands me
\nAnd always holds me near<\/p>\n
She loves me and I love her
\nWith all my feline power
\nAnd although I am getting weaker
\nI feel I love her now
\nWith such depths as an ocean
\nWith such heights as a tree
\nWith all the love there ever was
\nDeep inside of me<\/p>\n
