Integration is arrogance
\nIt makes no sense at all
\nThe indigenous people are independent
\nEternity on call
\nA massive ancestral background
\nThough their habitat is being
\nCarved up by the poaching clans
\nWho really are all seeing<\/p>\n
Tourists have a road through their reserve
\nAnd people come
\nto take Way their turtles
\nAnd their wild pigs stealing some
\nOut of the mouths of the Jarawa’s<\/p>\n
And supplying them with booze
\nAnd with marijuana
\nWhich is bloody awful news<\/p>\n
They are innocent jungle people
\nNot streetwise in that way
\nThey are a simple natural people
\nGatherers lets say
\nThe poaching class are evil
\nDarkly souls who do
\nPollute and bring corruption
\nAnd sex into their lives
\nDiseases too can run rife
\nAnd its really who survives
\nThis onslaught from the outside world
\nThis disconnectedness
\nTheir separateness is essential
\nIts brings its share of stress<\/p>\n
An unraveling of culture
\nAnd the knowledge of day to day
\nHunting with their meagre tools
\nAnd the wood from far away
\nAnd the honey from the lofty trees
\nAnd the special leaves they chew
\nAs a repellant against the stinging
\nWho do what they must do<\/p>\n
Save the hive and the colony
\nFrom the ravages of man
\nThey have this passed down knowledge
\nWithin their worldly plan
\nDon’t talk of them as primitives
\nIn the jungle they all know
\n159 plants each one intimate
\nAnd on show
\nAnd animals And insects
\nAnd tubers they can eat
\nThey are self sufficient
\nEating their wild meat<\/p>\n
Outsiders come of course they do
\nIts paradise is real
\nBut the paradise is hard to find
\nOnly the Jarawa’s feel
\nThe value of their surroundings
\nThey harness the energy
\nThey have perfect commitment
\nIn their own way they are free<\/p>\n
To bring them into the Indian scene
\nIs arrogance gone wrong
\nIts a totally ignorant point of view
\nWhich just does not belong
\nIt will scatter them every which way
\nDriving them insane
\nThey are happy with their paradise
\nFor them its not in vain<\/p>\n
They understand completeness
\nAn ensemble of the whole
\nTheir university is life
\nThey really do have soul
\nTheir collective panorama
\nIs a simple warm embrace
\nWith the natural world around them
\nAnd the pictures on their face<\/p>\n
Unlike the foreign visitor
\nThey realise the worth
\nThey do not take what they don’t want
\nFrom great Mother earth
\nThey do not hoard they share the gifts
\nThe earth gives them each day
\nThey understand their place on earth
\nFor really thats the way<\/p>\n
The outside world must stop this
\nLeave them well alone
\nProtect them their survival
\nHad well and truly shown
\nFrom their initial beginning
\nThey have the where for all
\nThey can manage the forests
\nThey are permanently on call<\/p>\n
Survival is their vitality
\nIntegration will
\nKill the ancientness that they all have
\nAnd can have still
\nIt makes no sense to do this
\nThey must remain in time
\nWhere they are in their scheme of things
\nFor they are on an upward climb
\nTo paradise and beyond my friends
\nWhere outsiders cannot go
\nNot in a month of sundays
