Survival may have seemed a problem
\nCaught up in it all
\nA filthy oily carpet
\nWhich truthfully did appal
\nA precious little penguin
\nWho became overcome
\nHis feathers all were matted
\nHis little heart was numb<\/p>\n
On a beach in Rio de Janeiro
\nHe felt sad
\nAnd sick and so abnormal
\nAnd at that moment bad
\nIsolation took him
\nTo another place and he
\nCouldn’t work out why the oil
\nHad been there
\nIn actuality<\/p>\n
The salt water was stinging
\nHe couldn’t really see
\nThe oil was really smelly
\nAnd choked him, he was free
\nBut just could not make head nor tail
\nOf how he could fly away
\nThats when he saw an old man
\nComing to him who did say<\/p>\n
Hello “dindin”who are you
\nYour tuxedo looks a mess
\nLet me take you home with me
\nAnd clean you I confess
\nYou do look rather sorry for yourself
\nI have to say
\nLet me take you home with me
\nAnd clean all that oil away<\/p>\n
So he picked the little penguin up
\nAnd took him home and he
\nWas ever so careful how he did it
\nBut soon he was oil free
\nHe fed him till he was stronger
\nAnd ready to go back wild
\nThe bricklayer was gentle
\nTreated him like his child<\/p>\n
And when he deemed him ready
\nTook him back down to the beach
\nAnd placed him in the water
\nA little out of reach
\nBut the penguin wouldn’t leave him
\nSo he went out in a boat
\nAnd dropped him in the ocean
\nAnd watched him swim and float<\/p>\n
And now each year “dindin” comes back
\nAll 8000 kilometres he
\nMakes the journey and kisses and cuddles
\nHis friend across the sea
\nAnd then goes back to wherever
\nAnd that is what he does
\nJust to see his friend the bricklayer
\nAnd receive that buzz<\/p>\n
He has the inclination
\nAnd was so bewitched to be
\nPart of this great storyline
\nThis story of the sea
\nHe didn’t take it likely
\nAll those miles away
\nBut wanted to see his darling friend
\nAnd really to him say<\/p>\n
Love you man I love you
\nAnd I am so grateful to you
\nYou took me and you saved me
\nWhich nobody else would do
\nI really appreciate you
\nYou are my blessing in disguise
\nAnd the only thing I want to do
\nIs see you with both my eyes.<\/p>\n
