Absoluteness a priority
\nAnd an undying need
\nTo save the whales
\nTo save the seals
\nWhilst knowing the great seas bleed
\nOut there on the ocean
\nSea shepherd and the crew
\nIn combat with the corporate world
\nWho takes a different view<\/p>\n
Historical traditional
\nIts just what whalers do
\nExtinction and Nivana
\nTheir thinking is askew
\nIts all they know or so they say
\nThe backbone of their soul
\nMurdering whales and battering seals
\nThat is their expected role<\/p>\n
Hunting down these great beasts
\nThe government of Japan,
\nNorway Iceland,The Faroes all because of the
\nWorld wide ban
\nThey go at it like crazy
\nThey argue and they fight
\nHiding behind the science banner
\nMurderers in plain sight<\/p>\n
And countries tend to hold back
\nWeasel words do spring
\nAustralia does very little
\nAnd the others tend to bring
\nLittle to the table to stop
\nThese grotesque kills
\nAnd so the mantle was picked up
\nBy Sea Shepherd and it fills<\/p>\n
The enormous gap in compassion
\nAnd solid empathy
\nFor the whales and for the seal pups
\nWho are slaughtered mercilessly
\nTheir agony is obvious
\nTo any sentient soul
\nBut to culture and tradition
\nIts clearly a black hole<\/p>\n
The cruelty of murdering
\nPods of dolphins who
\nAre more intelligent than the
\nHunters and so what we now do
\nMost of us is turn away
\nLet it run its course
\nBut not so dear Paul Watson
\nHe is there to force<\/p>\n
The whalers into thinking
\nNobody has the right
\nTo slaughter the shared earthlings
\nTurn their day to night
\nHunt and harpoon these great beasts
\nWhose screams are heard for miles
\nAnd so he puts himself between
\nThe harpoons despite denials
\nHe shows them up for what they are
\nAnd delivers a message to all
\nTo slaughter these denizens of the deep
\nDoes actually appal<\/p>\n
Every thinking person
\nWho knows what they must do
\nProtest to the highest
\nAnd stand for good and true
\nAnd Paul Watson has done just this
\nA mariner is he
\nAnd his ships are sailing
\nAround the world
\nWhere his guardians have to be<\/p>\n
Shepherds of the ocean
\nA vanguard against those
\nWho blatantly ignore the wishes
\nOf the majority who chose
\nTo support the ban on whaling
\nTo let these great souls be
\nNot hunt them down and murder them
\nOn the salty sea<\/p>\n

\nIs driving through despair
\nIts an ugliness and vileness
\nIts unravelling the whole
\nThe suffering of so many
\nShould never be the goal<\/p>\n
Of whalers or of sealers
\nOr any hunting band
\nThe hideousness and the loathing
\nThe waves of sin are fanned
\nThey countenance such horror
\nWith their impropriety
\nTheir bitterness and rancour
\nAnd true hostility<\/p>\n
And facing them no army
\nJust SEA Shepherd and the crews
\nPaul Watson and the other captains
\nBringers of good news
\nWith the courtesy of being
\nWith their love for every soul
\nReminding everyone of us
\nThat we each have a role<\/p>\n
And should use it
\nEvery single day
\nIn everything we do
\nBe like the SEA shepherds
\nSupport them and be true
\nThe whales are not forever
\nNeither the seals for they
\nAre up against it now more so
\nThan ever they were and they pay<\/p>\n
The price in our polluted minds
\nWe dump just so much more
\nRadiation PCB’s and mercury so unsure
\nAlready we are uncaring
\nOf the creatures of the sea
\nWithout hunting them and killing them
