Such wickedness
\nSuch arrogance
\nA baseness of their soul
\nOur wildlife and our heritage
\nLost the ugly toll
\nOf improbity
\nAnd injustice
\nAnd roguery rolls on
\nWhilst our precious HARES
\nAnd FOXES are murdered
\nAnd are gone<\/p>\n
They ride to hounds
\nThese scoundrels
\nTheir eminence oblique
\nMany in with the coppers
\nThe corporates they seek
\nThey bear no guilt
\nOr censure
\nBlood guilty yes a wrong
\nThey dance in sick profusion
\nFor no where do they belong<\/p>\n
Their laughter it is baseless
\nBacksliders everyone
\nDressed up in their fancy gear
\nRaw-heads in the sun
\nRecusant
\nUnregretting
\nGraceless violent brutes
\nPumped up on their arrogance
\nAnd pitiless pursuits<\/p>\n
They undervalue everything
\nAnd disparage when they can
\nThey are an affront to justice
\nFor eleven years the ban
\nShould have taken them to a cell
\nBut they carried on their quest
\nTo rid our world of the innocent
\nThe indigenous and the best<\/p>\n
Without gratitude or feeling
\nOr appreciation they
\nRide into the countryside
\nAnd steal wild souls away
\nIniquitous wrong doers
\nBlackguards in full sight
\nTortfeasors if the truth be known
\nWho are in fact a blight<\/p>\n
Upon what is our countryside
\nWith such charm and appeal
\nA paragon of virtue
\nIts out there its so real
\nThey are the defacement
\nThe hideosity
\nAs odious as anything
\nThat any soul can see<\/p>\n
A Hare lost in a moment
\nIts loveliness is gone
\nIts wit its grace its pretty face
\nOnce it was upon
\nThis earth to bring us melody
\nThe music of the muse
\nThe mourning of the moment
\nTear shedding how we lose<\/p>\n
So much to the sick riders
\nThe sherry pickled louts
\nWho bring their tribulation
\nIn their varied bouts
\nOf racing through our hedgerows
\nAnd signalling intent
\nAdmonishing the saboteurs
\nEvery one well meant<\/p>\n
Its all about deliverance
\nRetrieval of each soul
\nSalvaging some sanity
\nBreaking their control
\nThose corruptive aspects
\nThe old boys and their game
\nThe darkness and the shallowness
\nUncovered by the flame<\/p>\n
The totally unenlightened
\nThe untutored the unlearned
\nUnplumbed untried untested
\nTheir fingers never burned
\nThe police turn a blind eye to them
\nThe hunter seems to be
\nSomeone of importance
\nIn the big community<\/p>\n
The Hare that poor wee soul
\nWho lost her life today
\nAs innocent as the day was long
\nBut for their fun had to pay
\nTorn to bits by rabid hounds
\nTrained to be obtuse
\nBrainwashed by the criminal
\nWho should never be let loose<\/p>\n
The Fox and all the wild one’s
\nWho frequent our countryside
\nWarts and all they are out there
\nIt must never be denied
\nThey have their expectations
\nTheir freedom to just be
\nLiving and believing
\nEvery possibility<\/p>\n
