The epitome of innocence
\nThe joyfulness the thrill
\nThe ultimate bounce of gladness
\nTheir enchantment still
\nCountenanced with blessedness
\nA full life on the way
\nA start of something wonderful
\nPleased as punch lets say<\/p>\n
Refreshing the ecstasies
\nAppreciating it all
\nDancing in their sweet repose
\nStarry eyes and cool
\nSparkling streams of sunlight
\nOn each frosty morn
\nDiadems just everywhere
\nTheir great delight of Dawn<\/p>\n
Their mothers milk so nurturing
\nSo pleasurable so sweet
\nEverywhere so picturesque
\nBehold their dancing feet
\nIdyllic every sight they see
\nA beautiful refrain
\nVitality and laughter
\nRollicking again<\/p>\n
Innocence and playfulness
\nThe purity of soul
\nUndefiled and seldom riled
\nBenevolent control
\nA modesty of manner
\nA chaste certainty
\nLittle wooly angels
\nGlorified and free<\/p>\n
Those of us who see with eyes
\nAnd hearts and minds and soul
\nThose of us who feel the great
\nAffection
\nAnd who dole
\nOut the shared emotions
\nAs the little charmers play
\nBut suddenly are not in the fields
\nThey have been sent away<\/p>\n
All that Spring like quality
\nAnd its not to elysian fields
\nThey have been carted off
\nTo the abattoir
\nBumping up the yields
\nFor the butcher and the market place
\nWhere all will take their cut
\nHung up on the gantry chains
\nThe heavy doors slammed shut<\/p>\n
Their crimson blood is drained
\nOut
\nSuch agony we feel
\nRob dear Rob we are with you
\nTheir end was very real
\nThat savagery that wickedness
\nThat lack of conscience came
\nSuddenly whilst we laying sleeping
\nThe rascality of blame<\/p>\n
What could they have been thinking
\nNot knowing right from wrong
\nThere was no guardian angel
\nTo join the tragic throng
\nManhandled by each sinner
\nHumanity asleep
\nThe foul mouthed and abusive
\nTheir lives had been so cheap<\/p>\n
With all those worst intentions
\nThe viciousness and spite
\nUnloving and unaffectionate
\nOut went all the light
\nThe enmity of reason
\nThe rancour of the hour
\nThe loss to our humanity
\nAnd intrinsically our power<\/p>\n
