The wind is angry
\nI can hear its mighty thrust outside
\nThe absurdity of loneliness
\nWhich I had so relied
\nOn humans coming forward
\nTo help me in my plight
\nTo just escape the evil
\nAnd find some bright white light<\/p>\n
My memories of cruelty
\nWere in my mind that day
\nWhen I was supposedly rescued
\nAnd taken so they say
\nTo LONGLEAT my new heaven
\nWhere others I would meet
\nMy naivete apparent
\nI was joining the elite<\/p>\n
My heart was all a flutter
\nIf my youth had been misspent
\nMy new life would be joyful
\nAnd full of true content
\nSomewhere just to romp and play
\nAnd find some friendship along the way
\nThe evidence of certainty
\nA path of light would forever be<\/p>\n
The Rhino Hall was smelly
\nAnd so frightening at night
\nAll sorts of shadows came at me
\nFrom a peculiar height
\nSo another milestone
\nin the workings of my mind
\nTo meet some other elephants
\nand gradually unwind<\/p>\n
A dose of camaraderie
\nPerhaps a confidant
\nSomeone I could mentor
\nAnother elephant
\nBut enmity apparent
\nAntagonism too
\nIll feeling if I am honest
\nAnd a bull hook or two<\/p>\n
A deal of irasability
\nAnd grumpiness I felt
\nSullen and forbidding
\nAll the cards they dealt
\nI had hoped it would be different
\nAnd blessed I would be
\nEnlightened even
\nBut it appears
