\nApparently is the way
\nOf having their feet in both camps
\nWhich clearly seems to pay
\nThe Hunter
\nAnd the Camera Man
\nThe killer
\nAnd those who
\nConserve the natural wildlife
\nOr keep it in the zoo
\nSome are going all out
\nTo support the trophy boys
\nThe canned hunts the assorted stunts
\nBringing them their joys
\nOther branches see the alternative
\nWhy kill when you can
\nTake their picture
\nPreserve their lives
\nOh! conservation man<\/p>\n
The trophy of a lifetime
\nOr the one that got away
\nEnticing animal psychopaths
\nInto the dark foray
\nSafari’s if you see them
\nYou can bag them thats the call
\nOr the lens to enhance their beauty
\nThoughts are at the school<\/p>\n
Of who cares lets make money
\nOut of hunting with the gun
\nWith crystal optics aiding
\nFor extra sporty fun
\nThese corporates are abusing
\nTheir market share for they
\nPromote the killing of wild souls
\nWhich in my heart is not the way<\/p>\n
Its really evil marketing
\nThe sights are purely on
\nThe balance sheet the market share
\nThey put the con in con
\nBut its not conservation
\nIts consequential loss
\nIts killing if they are willing
\nTo be the great big boss<\/p>\n
Out there in the wilderness
\nThe rifles are the thing
\nEquipped with scopes
\nTo increase the hopes
\nAnd to the table bring
\nSport hunting accessories
\nThey are the best by far
\nAnd some even sponsor hunting shows
\nSo clearly now they are<\/p>\n
Ready to be taking on the animal rights
\nBrigade
\nSome and engaging women
\nIn the marketing parade
\nEven children thats the lust
\nOf money over ethic
\nPersonally i would say to them
\nYour strategy is pathetic<\/p>\n
Thanks to ethical consumer
\nWho have made the point today
\nThey tell us what is happening
\nAnd why its not okay
\nTo have your feet in both camps
\nIt proves your way ahead
\nIs capturing a shot of them
\nAnd then shooting them dead<\/p>\n
The antipathy is obvious
\nNo triple bottom line
\nIntrinsically unfriendly
\nIndifferent by design
\nLife just doesn’t matter
\nWith a platter wild and hot
\nWhat is to me vulgarity
\nTo see a wild soul shot<\/p>\n
If this be the market
\nThen go for it but you
\nAlso go for conservation
\nFor photography and do
\nYou really care one iota
\nFor the Cecil’s of this world
\nFor the poaching and encroaching
\nWhen the Rhino horn is hurled<\/p>\n
This marketing of products
\nWith ones heart just filed away
\nIts undignified and mannerless
\nWho cares who wants to pay
\nWell I care and we all should care
\nWho we sell to, and we
\nOught to have an ethic
\nAnd trade responsibly<\/p>\n
