Eden is a place in New South Wales
\nHalf way between
\nSydney yea and Melbourne
\nAnd if you have never been
\nIt has a natural harbour
\nAnd many years ago
\nWhaling was the big idea
\nHelped by others in the flow<\/p>\n
The killer whales
\nWere up to it
\nThey were prepared to stake
\nTheir time and effort and expertise
\nTo help men eat the cake
\nOld Tom was a big Orca
\nA leader of a pod
\nWho apparently helped the whalers
\nAnd shared the whale
\nHis god
\nClearly hunted baleen whales
\nAs man did in the bay
\nAnd so they got together
\nReally as a way<\/p>\n
Of helping they were strategists
\nAnd adaptive to the cause
\nThey work along with the whaling men
\nThe men who used their oars
\nTo row out to the open sea
\nAnd harpoon a grey whale
\nAided by the orca’s who ensured
\nThey didn’t fail<\/p>\n
And the reward for a capture
\nWas the killers loved the tongue
\nThe men were after the blubber
\nSo the tongue became their bung
\nThe law of the tongue became the way
\nThat the great whales were brought ashore
\nWith the help of the trusted Orca clan
\nWho didn’t want for more<\/p>\n
They organised the ambush
\nAnd the men harpooned the whale
\nThe whale then rushed off dragging them
\nUntil well it did fail
\nWeaken and the injury meant loss of blood
\nAnd so
\nThe Killers got their precious tongues
\nAnd the men of course did know<\/p>\n
That was a true story
\nOf Eden’s relationship
\nWith the killer whales
\nFor when all else fails
\nThey were ready to let rip
\nAssist the men those whalers
\nImprove the odds so they
\nWere able to catch the whales they wanted
\nAnd do it night and day<\/p>\n
The killer whales are killers
\nSleek and intelligent souls
\nIf they want a particular whale
\nThey exert their controls
\nThey work together the whole pod
\nIs clearly on a roll
\nThey are adaptive killers
\nWith intelligence and soul<\/p>\n
Again I say that Sea World
\nErred when they thought that they
\nWould capture and imprison the Orca’s
\nAnd of course the day
\ncame when they well realised
\nKiller whales can kill
\nDawn was slaughtered and other have been
\nVictims lost at will<\/p>\n
And all because of our arrogance
\nWe imagine that we are gods
\nBut corporates are nothing
\nThey are just a bunch of sods
\nBrainless compared to the Orca’s
\nAnd sadly some have paid
\nWith their lives
\ncovered up its true
\nFor the great black fish survives<\/p>\n
They never should be captured
\nAnd placed in tanks so we
\nCan try to house them and feed them
\nInto infinity
\nWe are a graceless bunch of turds
\nImagining that we
\nCan train and manage such a beast
\nThe killers of the sea<\/p>\n
If we continue down this road
\nMore people will be killed
\nMore innocent souls will be injured
\nMore blood will be spilled
\nSea World erred and others too
\nWill suffer they will die
\nFor the awful life we put them through
