The ignorance of the hunter
\nAs insensitive as a log
\nA dead log full of fungi
\nLying beside a bog
\nA big old nine point
\nLies limp and gone
\nIn this arse holes truck
\nA deer comes over to see his friend

He talks to the little animal
\nAnd sends it on its way

\nAnd this little dear put aside his fear

He came to see this evil
\nWho gunned his brother down
\nHe came to take his scent back
\nTo send this troll to town
\nIn Jasper thats the place of course
\nWhere red necks talk to deer
\n“Get out of my fucking four wheels”
\nThis strong man feels the fear
\n“I just shot your buddy
\nWhat are you trying to do
\nYou think you can ruck on me

\nthen he films and pets the soul
\nAnd sends him on his way
\nThe innocence beyond the troll
\nOn any given day
\nHis scrunched up fist we see it
\nThe tension that is there
\nDid he think this deer had come to fuck him
\nUnaware
\nOf empathy and compassion
\nAnd any quality
\nThe red neck sends him up the path
\nTo be shot too hopefully<\/p>\n

\nThe worst intentions show
\nThe spitefulness the bitterness
\nHow apparently it does grow
\nThe sourness and the rancour
\nThe arrogance so there
\nIll wishing and ill natured
\nCreating more despair<\/p>\n
Hardbitten and ungenerous
\nAn evil speaking creep
\nWho actually thinks bad of all souls
\nHis expletives all are cheap
\nHe threatens and he challenges
\nWith his ominous intent
\nBut the deer shows only nonchalance
