\nGunning down Giraffes
\nAnd posing with their mangled bodies
\nReally just for laughs
\nSpread across the internet
\nHanging on their wall
\nA poor dead earthling shot to death
\nAnd so lost to us all<\/p>\n

\nNot so very long ago
\n20 years in fact may be
\nThats whats happening to wildlife
\nTo my mind which is tragically<\/p>\n
Down and increasing as we speak
\nCanned hunting gives that guarantee
\nAn iconic soul that does harm none
\nSeemingly now over run
\nby cheapskate hunters
\nWho cant afford
\nA lion or an Elephant
\nAs their reward<\/p>\n
For psychopathy on the grandest scale
\nAnd in Kenya the other day
\nA baby Giraffe got stranded
\nIn a river so they say<\/p>\n
The Uaso Nyiro river
\nWith its own great vigour swept
\nA baby giraffe it swallowed up
\nIt just was not adept
\nEnough to fight the torrent and
\nWas stranded there until
\na band
\nOf indigenous people came to its aid
\nAnd saved the youngster
\nThey had laid
\nTheir hearts and hands
\nAnd lives as well
\nTo pull this baby out of hell<\/p>\n
Their story for it needs to be
\nRealised incessantly
\nLets not forget each creature
\nNeeds
\nIts life as you do
\nAnd this leads<\/p>\n
Me to say to hunters who
\nBuy into the guarantees
\nto do
\nThe dirty on wild wild souls
\nAbusing them and setting goals
\nThreatening them as we have found
\nHad a hunter seen him
\nHe would have drowned<\/p>\n
Every soul born hereabouts
\nPlease please offer me no doubts
\nEach was given their creative life
\nAnd nobody should cause them strife
\nNo one has the right to end
\nThe life of any earthling friend<\/p>\n
These people risked their lives that day
\nCompassion and respect a way
\nFurther down the enlightenment road
\nPassing the hunter whose karmic load
\nWeighs them down and slows their gait
\nAdversity comes at a quite rate
