The absurdity of the seasons
\nSome daffodils in bloom
\nSpring is at least a Month away
\nBut obviously the gloom
\nBelow the earth is lightening up
\nThough there still might be some snow
\nBut anyway its imbolc
\nOr “in milk” as you may know<\/p>\n
The lambs are ripe for nursing
\nIts actuality
\nA positive reaction
\nTo the sabbat, and why we be
\nGathered here beneath the earth
\nIn these haunted caves
\nWith a million night lights flickering
\nLike little golden waves<\/p>\n
Who knows who might have stood here
\nBefore us in the gloom
\nA miner forty niner
\nWho has since gone to his tomb
\nClementine his daughter
\nPicking daffodils
\nOut there in the forest
\nOf Dean where sunlight spills<\/p>\n
Possibly for her valentine
\nWho knows ?
\nloves in the air
\nThe 14 th day of Febuary
\nWith sonnets everywhere<\/p>\n
Winter soon will fade away
\nThats the thought and we
\nCan look towards each aching dawn
\nInto infinity
\nBeyond the early darkness
\nBeyond the frosty morn
\nTo sunlight and to blossoms
\nAnd no reason to yawn<\/p>\n
To hear the hum of all those bees
\nAnd the butterflies maybe
\nAnd the song birds in the hedgerows
\nWith their aria’s gently
\nFloating over mornings
\nWaking us for we
\nLove the Spring for we can sing
\nHold hands and really be<\/p>\n
Happy in the healing light
\nOf creation we, in awe. (Not wee in a bucket)
\nFragrances may fill our hearts
\nNow and for evermore<\/p>\n
Happy imbolc all of you
\nThe echoes here may be
\nCaptured in these ancient rocks
\nTo affirm now constantly
\nMessages, our messages
\nThoughts, yes our thoughts too
\nWhat We wish each other
