\nThe philosophy of thought
\nExacting meditation
\nIts not how I was taught
\nTigers are wild animals
\nThats where they should be
\nIn the wilds where they were put
\nThats where we need to see<\/p>\n
Wild animals not in temples
\nCavorting with the monks
\nThats pointlessness thats vacancy
\nMore like a bunch of drunks
\nIts makes no bloody sense at all
\nWhatever people say
\nThere just is no connection
\nA red herring For the day<\/p>\n
Illogical to do this
\nIts impractical as well
\nIts some kind of business model
\nDirectly out of hell
\nAn antidote for discord
\nIts all contradictory
\nTigers in a temple
\nOf course they shouldn’t be<\/p>\n
So much collateral damage
\nFor the Tigers I will say
\nThey are beasts of eminence
\nAnd grandeur by the way
\nThere beside some Abbot
\nIn his fineries galore
\nWorshipping his many gods
\nStaggers me for sure<\/p>\n
They have lost their habitat
\nTheir wildness and their power
\nThey are then subjected to subjugation
\nBy the hour
\nMaltreated and manhandled
\nAnd tortured at our will
\nKicked and bashed and petted
\nWhilst they remain quite still<\/p>\n
Drugged up to the eyeballs
\nTo manipulate their power
\nTo anaesthetise their prowess
\nMade malleable each hour
\nWe devalue them as earthlings
\nUndermine them so
\nDemoralise their spirit
\nAnd tamper with their flow<\/p>\n
That is Tigers their supremacy
\nFar reaching as we know
\nMade to feel inferior
\nAnd disadvantaged whilst on show
\nSubordinate to religion
\nUnclassified as such
\nSub normal if you ask me
\nCompletely out of touch<\/p>\n
With their macrobiotic birth right
\nThey do not possess a role
\nDependant on their parasites
\nTo seemingly extol
\nWhat is for them normality
\nWhat is for them sublime
\nWhat is for them coherent
\nTo face their laws of time<\/p>\n
Scattered to the four corners
\nOf a temple waiting for
\nCrowds of would be tourists
\nWho come there to adore
\nTo create in them such chaos
\nSuch disharmony abroad
\nEach upheaval and each rumpus
\nHas to be met with accord<\/p>\n
Its a rough house its a free for all
\nAnd these tigers feel the stress
\nDisciplined and frantic
\nIn one hell of a mess
\nBehind the scenes of a temple
\nGod knows what goes on
\nWith a load of illiterate lay about’s
\nWhose heads are all but gone<\/p>\n
There is no continuity
\nThe monotony is rife
\nAnd then a chain reaction
\nDescending into strife
\nConforming to tradition
\nThe orthodoxy of sense
\nThey have to be seen as above board
\nWhen everything is tense<\/p>\n
There isn’t any stability
\nAnd equality suffers so
\nThey become entrenched in squalor
\nAnd all of that does grow
\nIt really makes no sense at all
\nTo believe a sanctuary
\nIs possible in a temple
\nIt really cannot be<\/p>\n
Its a money spinner
\nWe are getting somewhere now
\nIt puts the gold leaf on the idols
\nReally that is how
\nAll of this is measured
\nBut of course their destiny
\nTheir future expectation
\nThey will never see<\/p>\n
Take all the tigers away
\nFind true sanctuaries
