The Rocks
\nAt Clearwell
\nIn the Forest of Dean
\nA natural cave system
\nThat just might have been<\/p>\n
From the carboniferous period saw
\nUnderground streams
\nCutting caves there galore<\/p>\n
Then came the miners
\nIron give me ore
\nGive me ochre
\nOf red and of yellow
\nAre you sure<\/p>\n
Yes even purple
\nThats very rare
\nPainting with that colour
\nHow is that fair<\/p>\n
Now it is us
\nThe Druids have come
\nThe Cotswold Order
\nImbolc and some<\/p>\n
Ollie his night lights
\nI million they shine
\nIllumination
\nRight down the line<\/p>\n
Into the chasm
\nStalactites too
\nThey say there are ghosts down here
\nNo thats not true<\/p>\n
Who knows who is saying that
\nIt has been said
\nIt sounds like pick axes
\nOn top of your head<\/p>\n
Those miners hat lights
\nFlickering in the gloom
\nIt sort of reminds me
\nOf down in some tomb<\/p>\n
Where everything echoes
\nAnd Iron once was sought
\nWhere the mists are apparently
\nAll a matter of thought<\/p>\n
