The magnificence of Africa
\nIt is its culture that defines
\nA country of such diversity
\nWhere that amazing sun still shines
\nThe great drums you can feel them
\nReverberate and pound
\nYour heart creates the melody
\nAnd each breath the vital sound<\/p>\n
The roar of those great jungle kings
\nAnd the trumpeting I hear
\nThe Elephant a gentle beast
\nThat sounds well in my ear
\nSo many of your wild animals
\nEach occupying sound
\nThe graceful the lithe the beautiful
\nThat leap that jump that bound<\/p>\n
The Rhinoceros a gentle giant
\nWith an armour coated skin
\nWho knows you are there
\nFrom a long way off
\nAnd his horn of keratin
\nIs so Highly prized in China
\nFor all the wrong reasons and they
\nAre being hacked off visibly
\nIn the most depraved of way<\/p>\n
And a North korean official
\nUsurping his politital bag
\nTrading in the precious horns
\nUnder the cover of his flag
\nSuch a vile conclusion
\nHis punishment should be
\nNemesis to get to grips
\nWith his eternity<\/p>\n
Bloody stumps are visible
\nFrightening wounds that scrape
\nOne’s eyeballs from one’s sockets
\nIn the ugliest kind of rape
\nSuppurating messages sunk into the brain
\nCaught red handed doing it
\nAnd part of a chain<\/p>\n
The unrighteousness the iniquity
\nThe immorality
\nOf hiding really in plain sight
\nThe shamelessness we see
\nAn irreproachability
\nA virtue to be sure
\nCracked open by corruption
\nBy treachery and more<\/p>\n
The canned hunts their dark exposure
\nTheir deviousness and laxity
\nThe word is harvesting an unfair stancd
\nTheir betrayal actually
\nDisdainful of their station
\nTheir majesty abroad
\nViolating their freedom
\nAnd murdered as a reward<\/p>\n
The bully boys are out in force
\nReady to cut and run
\nReady to bruise and batter
\nFair mindedness undone
\nVengeful quick to anger
\nWith threats about to blow
\nImplacable and vindictive
\nAll part of the show<\/p>\n
Africa its angels
\nAre ready in the wings
\nReady to support all the jungle kings
\nMarch and speak up for animals
\nNot voiceless anymore
\nWe stand with them we fight for them
\nAnd no one will ignore<\/p>\n
The cry of hope and glory
\nThe passion of those who
\nKnow we can make a difference
\nTogether we can do
\nSo much a coming together
\nOf mindfulness and heart
\nEach soul urge springs eternal
