I watched the film

The film began in a most earnest way
\nThere was hope engendered as it did play
\nUndoubted effort to get them all where
\nThe seals would be in the crisp island air
\nWe heard the meaningful words and we thought
\nSuch inspiration clearly so caught
\nThose of us watching in a hopeful mood
\nFor the pictures, for the story however crude<\/p>\n
The sky such a sky such a palette of dreams

\nDeep citrusy orange a halo of hope

\nA few seals just scattered around and then more

\nSome eating snow so gentle that day
\nJust laying prostrate on all this cold
\nAnd able to manage as softly they rolled<\/p>\n
Big black wet eyes innocent souls
\nThey look out at each of us
\nPerforming roles
\nBeautiful whiskers
\nTheir umbilical cord
\nDragging behind them
\nThe sea birds reward<\/p>\n
Their mothers from out of the blow holes
\nEmerge
\nAfter two hours there was the urge
\nto stay
\nBut they had to get back to New York
\nTo sort out the admin and really to talk
\nAll through they were hopeful their permits would come
\nSo a few shots they got meaning they had with some<\/p>\n
Nigel spoke of the need to be there
\nTo witness the slaughter and thus to share
\nGave a spot to a fisherman much was hearsay
\nWho talked about how seals took their fish away
\nThey ate all the cod fish from their children’s plates
\nHe had killed 5 seals once they had been like weights

There is balance in all things predator\/prey

So they went back home and after 14 days

\nThere were so many rules,an inflexibility

\nSo they went off to Sydney where they seemed more sure
\nThey witnessed some boats but really so few

And if I had invested my funds into this

\nStill without permits but permitted to
\nfilm from the helicraft, some of the crew
\nWho Dared to imagine the pain those beautiful harp seals
\nAgain and again
\nlost to the world of nature and light
\nKilled off by sub humans believing their right<\/p>\n
For the fur they ship and the penises too
\nFrom some of the Bulls we remain clueless who
\nIn their right minds would allow this
\nLets hope that Trudeau
\nwill walk in the light
