Where the earth meets the sky
\nThe moon falls from high
\nSuch a vast moving plain
\nWith so much to gain
\nOur simple eyes see
\nA mountain swims free
\nAs grand as a creature
\nEver could be<\/p>\n
His struggle was long
\nHis heart though so strong
\nHe took on the might
\nOf the dark and the light
\nHis sorrow he shared
\nIn the fountain he spared
\nComing closer we saw
\nAnd we then knew what for<\/p>\n
From the beach from each place
\nWe joined in the race
\nTo save him to plunge in the brine
\nJust to be
\nPart of his rescue giving him hope
\nWe all came together
\nTo help him to cope<\/p>\n
Touching the mountain
\nFeeling his all
\nHonouring spirit
\nWe heard the call
\nWe rushed like an army
\nInto the sea
\nWith such adoration
\nFor where we could be<\/p>\n
He needed that help
\nTo get back in the swim
\nHe needed our love
\nBeing close to the rim
\nThe allegiance was there
\nWe had the desire
\nTo each take our stand
\nAnd join in his fire<\/p>\n
It just was enough
\nThe great mountain swam
\nAnd looked back at us
\nWith an eye of I am
\nSuch depth a profound sense of worth
\nWe all felt
\nIndebted we were
\nAs together we knelt<\/p>\n
Part of the pain
\nThe explosive harpoons
\nThat are fired from the Japanese ships
\nBy the goons
\nSimpleton robotic dark souls
\nWho do
\nWhat their sick masters tell them
\nAnd really now few<\/p>\n
Think of the majesty
\nThe mountainous wrath
\nAs they enter the darkness
\nAnd follow a path
\nOf unmindful thought
\nOf ungratefulness
\nRemorseless and callous
\nAnd then so not confess<\/p>\n
To the vile criminality
\nPlayed out when they
\nSee the great crimson clouds
\nAnd hear screams that can play
\nThey ply their great chains
\nDrawing into their hold
\nA king among beasts
\nWorth its great weight in gold<\/p>\n
And we see just a rubber boat
\nBobbing away
\nA few bright young shepherds
\nCaught in the spray
\nHearts full of love
\nAngels in time
\nWho take on the evil
\nWho endeavour to climb<\/p>\n
Out of the ocean to give thanks to all
\nTo just try to save them
\nThose they would haul
\nThe great violated ones
\nBleeding to death
\nRuptured and dying
\nAnd knowing their breath<\/p>\n
Is failing is fading
\nSo jaded so weak
\nThey can have no fight left
\nThe strength of the meek
\nBelies the great shadow
\nThat rises and falls
\nAs Sea Shepherd witnesses
\nThe broken rules<\/p>\n
The great mountains touch us
\nThey break us today
\nWe would give ourselves to them
\nIf there was a way
\nBut we are so few
\nWho will take on the fight
\nWho will prostrate ourselves
\nTo share the great light<\/p>\n
The truest unthankfulness
\nOur world creates
\nThey appear unavenged
\nWe enter those gates
\nThe thrashing emotion
\nThe blood of the soul
\nAs the Japanese wind in
\nThe whale whose control<\/p>\n
Is vanquished and somehow
\nWe feel the pain
\nAll its long suffering
\nAll of its strain
\nWe feel so helpless
\nWhat can we do
\nTo wake the world up
\nTo what now is true<\/p>\n
The great whales are being
\nSlaughtered and they
\nHave a chivalrous cause
\nBut they still sadly pay
\nAnd they are all seeing
\nSuch wonderment they
\nSee from afar
\nBut are lost to the day<\/p>\n
