\nProbably the reason why
\nthe human beings
\nChained him up and his name
\nLet them deny
\nTheir cruelty for this brave soul
\nWas never a criminal he
\nWas a gentle soul never a rogue
\nA lovely soul to see<\/p>\n
And then he was chosen to leave
\nHis chains and seek freedom
\nSome where new
\nPatted and cared and loved he was
\nHis chains removed its true<\/p>\n
At once he leapt into the air
\nYou could feel his joy
\nSnuggled up inside the hay
\nIt really was his ploy
\nTo show us just what freedom meant
\nHow much he now could play
\nDidn’t have those weighty chains
\nTo weigh him down all day<\/p>\n
His gratitude and thankfulness
\nIt just filled all who saw
\nEach one of those sad cattle
\nWe truthfully ignore
\nWe go our own way every day
\nUnthinking of their plight
\nIf we could only save them all
\nAnd try to do whats right<\/p>\n
For me personally I have avoided milk
\nFor over 70 years and it hasn’t killed me
\nIts the children now my tears
\nAre with so many little calves
\nLost and shot away
\nBuy ignorance and arrogance

\nPerhaps lets call him sage
\nIn chains all those many months
\nFor him it was an age
\nAnd having them removed we shared
\nThe happiness he felt
\nAt the moment when the cards
\nWere shuffled and he was dealt<\/p>\n
