Friends in trouble surely can
\nPull tears out of us and what man
\nDoes to animals tragically
\nSocial media lets us see<\/p>\n
A wired up mouth
\nTo prevent a dog
\nBarking all the time
\nCommunication is a needy tool
\nWhen negligence does climb<\/p>\n
Into one’s true spectrum
\nIt creates such awful fear
\nAnd not being able to communicate
\nIs, abundantly clear<\/p>\n
A wired up mouth
\nCuts into skin and bone
\nAnd wounds can be
\nInfected very simply
\nAnd the pain is terribly<\/p>\n
Violent this is as much ignorance
\nAnd hatred too
\nan animal so cut about
\nAnd Not expected to pull through<\/p>\n
But with love and true compassion
\nWith empathy and joy
\nWith the absolute degree of caring
\nSome just did employ<\/p>\n
This poor souls wounds recovered
\nAs did his spirit too
\nTo re align his senses
\nBrought such worth a speeding through<\/p>\n
Then to introduce him
\nTo his friend
\nWhere before they liked to play
\nAnd seeing them together
\nThey could have never been away<\/p>\n
Never gone through all that pain
\nAnd be cared for for so long
\nWhen they saw each other
\nThere seemed just nothing wrong<\/p>\n
A simple piece of paper
\nJust watch them as they run
\nPure joy with each other playing
\nIn the sun
\nAll that terrible torture
\nThat broke the spirit too
\nJust put on the back burner
\nAs a positive tends to do<\/p>\n
Love and true devotion
\nCompassion and empathy
\nBeing wholly positive
\nIn caring helped them through
\nThis dog was awfully injured
\nIts spirit broken by
\nThe cruelty he had suffered
\nBut underneath the sky<\/p>\n
With his friend and his comrade
\nThe thoughts of yesteryear
\nCame flooding back to bring the joy
\nOf how friends are so near
\nAnd can so understand each other
\nAnd will give up so much
\nRespect is never far away
