What makes a mother want her daughter
\nIn the saddle
\nChasing after foxes
\nIts never fiddle faddle
\nIt is serious business
\nFrightening a fox
\nChasing down a vixen
\nWith tinsel in your socks<\/p>\n
Its boxing day nice crisp wind
\nBlowing through the hills
\nOutside of the local pub
\nShowing off your riding skills
\nThe hounds a kind of yelping
\nYou are about to ride
\nYou want to tear a fox apart
\nWhy have you denied<\/p>\n
A child the thought of being
\nPerhaps a wild souls friend
\nImmersing her in bitterness
\nWhy would you want to lend
\nAll of that to her my dear
\nThe fox wants love and care
\nNot chased all over the countryside
\nAnd made to be aware<\/p>\n
That we have children
\nRiding
\nHorses over hills
\nGetting their thrills from killing
\nAnother mother spills
\nHer blood torn every which way
\nBy rabid hounds who need
\nThe fur inside their dry old mouths
\nBite hard and watch her bleed<\/p>\n
And so we see the tinsel
\nAnd the thrust of things to come
\nThe heart beat of the horse she’s on
\nThe hunt fires and theres some
\nReady to go to town
\nOn chasing a wild soul anywhere
\nLeaping over fences
\nCausing such despair<\/p>\n
For a mother to give her child this
\nThus experience of death
\nTally Ho the men folk go
\nThe horses and their breath
\nCarving our a cloud of smoke
\nAnd coughing in the air
\nGalloping as they chase the fox
\nAnd knowing its not fair<\/p>\n
The mother could have stayed at home
\nWith her baby dressed in white
\nGoing to a party
\nMaybe out of sight
\nThinking of the wild life
\nAlive in the earth
\nWith its extended family
\nThat would have been some worth<\/p>\n
Instead the hounds have got her
\nThe vixen she is still
\nExcept she’s being torn
\napart
\nThe improbity it will
\nSuffer little children
\nSuch criminal intent
\nA wickedness aforethought
