An unbelievable sky above
\nOf almost cornflower blue
\nIn this marvellous polar light
\nGreat ice bergs melting through
\nMyriad icicles dripping
\nGaping holes azure
\nA hostile place where diadems
\nSeemingly endure<\/p>\n
Tranquil floating ice rocks
\nIce sheets floating here
\nThe worlds largest desert beckons
\nIn waters bright and clear
\nUltra violet glaring is blinding
\nWild life they
\nThe blind seals and the penguins
\nWander off each day<\/p>\n
The temperatures are rising
\nAnd melting ice we see
\nThe west coasts bleeding profusely
\nNow into the sea
\nLow lying cities all around our world
\nMay soon be lost
\nSea levels rising dangerously
\nAt an enormous cost<\/p>\n
Large areas a melting
\nRocks being exposed
\nMoss and algae begin to grow
\nThis now could have posed
\nSo many problems for us all
\nA greening is underway
\nIce core sampling tells us much
\nTells us soon we shall pay<\/p>\n
One positive are CFC’s
\nWhich the world has cut back on
\nThe ozone hole is reducing
\nIts may be a time till its gone
\nBut its moving in the right direction
\nAnd this could a case
\nA saviour in so many ways
\nFor the present human race<\/p>\n
The krill are clearly dying
\nAs the sea heats up they will
\nDisappear completely
\nThe penguin with their skill
\nWill have to find new diets
\nAnd we humans ought to try
\nAnd leave the Krill alone ourselves
\nFor otherwise they will<\/p>\n
Perish in the oceans
\nFor thats a Penguins meal
\nAnd whales too love their tastiness
\nFor them too it is real
\nMan gets his nutrition
\nFrom a variety so why
\nCome into the wild to steal the krill too
\nIt is high <\/p>\n
in nutrients and precious oils
\nBut the wild ones we deny
\nThem the food they were born to eat
\nUnderneath the sky
\nThe coldest driest windiest continent
\nOn this planet earth
\nAntartica is now shared science
\nReally it is worth
\nso much to the people
\nOn this precious land
