I felt it
\nLet me say the year
\nWas drawing nigh
\nIt hadn’t been so cold its true
\nBut I can tell just by the sky<\/p>\n
The moon and the stars mean much
\nTo me
\nAnd it is just a hop
\nFrom my shed to the slaughterhouse
\nWhere we all get the chop<\/p>\n
The farmer opened up the door
\nAnd the others said goodbye
\nAnd I was left to watch my breath
\nIn the icy stall just fly
\nHe came for me
\nBut left me here
\nHe chose not to take me
\nMy heart was jumping pumping
\nI felt so crazily<\/p>\n
That something wonderful had happened
\nAnd in fact to me
\nI would see the new year in
\nNot be slaughtered painfully<\/p>\n
And then i heard a lady
\nJennifer Staurt had
\nBegged him not to have me killed
\nThat she would do this
\n I was filled
\nWith so much joy i cried and cried
\nI cried myself to sleep
\nA human had stuck up for me
\nSomewhere in her deep
\nShe had felt my fearsome state
\nI had no wish to die
\nAnd she had in fact picked up on that
\nAnd that was the reason why<\/p>\n
and the farmer man was convinced by her
\nThat is not an easy thing
\nSo I am still here swishing my tail
\nAnd trying hard to bring
\nMyself into the happiest state
\nThan any cow could be
\nI hope she comes by and says hello
\nFor
\n I now need to see<\/p>\n
