The ice flowers of winter
\nThat bloom at my door
\nThat curl around blossoms

\nAttracting the silence
\nCovering the green

Millions of crystals

\nthough we have darkness
\nThe light forms attract

A transforming resilience

\nThat indulges children
\nWhose voices so loud

\nThe sleigh where it be

To respond to jacks frostiness
\nHis tranquil calm
\nThe white clouds of softness
\nThe haunting cold balm
\nThat spreads like an ocean
\nOf flakes near and far

Getting up in the morning

\nThe wild souls who played there
\nWhen we slept more facts
\nThe spirit encompasses

As more snow flakes tumble
\nRejoicing we be
\nTrudging in wellies
\nWarm socks yes three
\nPairs no cold tootsies
\nIts pleasant out here
\nPlaying snow balls with mummy

Sublimity follows our eyes everywhere
\nA brilliance a loveliness all now can share
\nEach flake such perfection

A child’s equilibrium

\nBy the carpet of whiteness
