Mentally scarred

\ncan look in the mirror
\nand begin to see

\nfull of e numbers
\nand more than enough
\nof ethoxylates, retinol
\nchemical brews
\nthat moisten that firm up
\nthat all are good news<\/p>\n
but they may cause a rash or make
\nsome very sore, our eyes
\nmay go red
\nand our head may feel raw
\nor our nose may get
\nbunged up with mucus
\nso thick
\nor our tongues may swell up
\njust, because, we lick<\/p>\n
it may cause our ears to burn
\njust like a fire
\nor our face to go red
\nor our hair go like wire
\nto safeguard consumers
\nfrom all of this stuff
\nanimals lives are of course
\nmade more rough<\/p>\n
then there’s the hair dye’s
\nrestorers, shampoo’s
\nconditioners, shiners
\nall of the clue’s
\nare there in the useage
\nbut cocktails of things
\nneed to be tested
\njust to see what that brings<\/p>\n

\nsorts of skin types
\nwho may
\nfind it suddenly reddens
\nor withers away

Rabbits and Pigs

\nin rockets in drones
\nin their droves so they do
\nget shot out at
\nget burned and subjected to cold
\nto solvents and acids
\nas in them their rolled
\ntests on their strength
\nand also much more
\nall of the gases and
\nproducts of War<\/p>\n
then the procedures
\nop’s on their feet
\ntheir hands on their brains
\nwe are never discreet
\nagain their hair’s shaved
\nand their bodies dyed red
\nsome are dyed purple
\nclearly some led
\ngenetically modified
\nxeno transplantation
\nthey glow in the dark
\nfrom jelly striation<\/p>\n
a whole lot of agonies
\nanimals find
\nand then the one’s
\nalso harming their mind
\nelectrodes to stimulate
\nall kinds of stress
\nthey injure and harm them
\nthey get into a mess
\nthey can’t sleep
\nhow they scratch
\nand develop deep sores
\npus laden boils
\nand damage their jaws
\nand all without
\nanaesthesia so
\nthe animals suffer

infected with vaccines
\nthey suffer malaise
\nthey vomit, they shit and they

\nthat sells
\nsome are cut up and sewn

\nwithout anaesthetics
\njust to see whether
\nthey cry or they die
\nor they suffer intensely

\nearthlings immensely<\/p>\n
some will be killed
\nbut others might be
\ntaken and kept inside
\na laboratory as a pet

\nor end up in a circus

The animals all of them
\nsuffer so much
\nwe of course clearly
\nare so out of touch
\nwe cannot imagine
\nwhat they under go

\nTests that now grow
\nthey are terribly damaged
\nmade sick and blind
\ndepressed and so anxious
\nmany just find
\nsolace in death
\nfor to live would be bad
\nand are slaughtered in droves
\nwhich I’m sure most are glad<\/p>\n
and some make a sanctuary
\nsomewhere to be
\nrehabilitated
\nthat is a the key
\nthey can sit and reflect
\non the years of despair
\nplucked from the jungle
\nand taken somewhere
\ntied up and caged
\ngagged and stained red
\ntheir teeth removed
\nand so badly fed
\nnot given water
\nnot given care
